Hello Gents
just built this: mobo: intel DX790TO, cpu: 3.60 GHz - i7-3820 10M/LGA2011, 8 gegs kingston, and an evga 780 ti classified kingpin edition (overclocked) which requires 650 min. watts.
i have a 700 watts psu (brand name force) it looks pretty neat and almost new, came with the gigabyte case i got.
after gathering all the parts: everything is running smoothly until i started getting BSODS errors as the following:
BCCode: 124
BCP1: 0000000000000004
BCP2: FFFFFA80074CC038
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: 0000000000000000
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1
i used a memory testing tool called: memtest to check the memory: came out clean , and the graphics card is brand new.
after doing some research it turns out i need a bigger psu, i am just posting this so anyone would confirm my doubts before buying a decent thermal take one.
and which psu to get : 850watts? or 1200watts?
no evga products in my country , i got my vga from amazon, but cant wait to order a psu
i found the following in stock in the lebanese market:
Gigabyte GE-X750A-C1 GreenMax 750W PSU
Cooler Master RS-850-SPM2 Silent Pro M2 850W
Thermaltake TP-1500M ToughPower 1500W PSU
Thermaltake TPG-1200M ToughPower Grand 1200W PSU
kindly advice.
Thanks
