    Try resetting the PSU.
    1. Unplug PSU
    2. Push power button for 10 seconds
    3. plug back in the PSU.
    4. retry power on.

Not sure i follow , the psu needs to be restarted? Nex1500 if you mean cmos and what not tried that. But when power is pressed nothing happens, the little leds on motherboard are lit excwpt debug. Im taking the mb cpu out and reseating see if that works. Also there is a littls red led under tge first pcie card that is blinking red. I also unplugged psu from computer held power down until lights went out a couple times , still nothing. Maybe it is due to not having a fan plugged into the cpu header? Was reading could be possibilty

Still nothing, dead was able to get all the fans etc running but no beeps or post, that was one time but have not been able to recreate it. Anyway i dont k.ow what else to try i know all componnents work, at least they did before the tear down, if anytjing i would have to guese motherboard, as it the only thing that really moved. Hopefully i can rma but thats only my guess it like the signal is not getting to psu to power up.

Think i found the culprit, the new vrm block has odd screws and i didnt notice that one was making contact with a post and bowing the chasis a bit. I know it should ground , but the block is all copper and the screw appear to be steel. Well anyway hopefully that was the dead short causing the mb and psu not to leave standby power.

    Heres hoping

Nope still dead at this point im going to try and rma the board, it wont leave standby power. Im trying to jumper the psu by itself and it wont start, green to black and nothing either so maybe psu and motherboard...

Very possible that the odd screw shorted both out. If you can't get the PSU to at least start by jumping it, that would be my first culprit.

Ok thank you for your time and replies, i bread boarded the mb posted , added 1stick posted, added gpu got into bios. So im guessing the psu just took a crap. Haha love evga customer service so new psu should be on the way soon.

Sounds like the psu may have saved the rest of your components possibly. I was gonna add that you will see that behavior also with bad cpu cooler contact and the cpu overheats quick. Glad you got it sorted though and let us know how it goes when the new unit arrives. \m/

What No NEX 1500 on your RMA?
Is EVGA Replacing their EVGA SuperNOVA NEX1500 Classified Power Supply with the EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 G2 Power Supply?

That really Sucks, I spent the extra for mine for the 10 Years.
And I really like their Software Too. Sad Day Indeed to hear this news.

I think I would rather get Two EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 Power Supply 120-G2-1000-XR.
Much easer to run on UPS Units.
Or Two EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2 Power Supply 120-G2-1300-XR would do as well.
