I've read that even with this card in SLI , 60fps AVERAGE at 4K is still not achieveable!

is this true?

Ive been waiting for years for a card that will be able to play games at max settings at minimum of 60fps @ 4K

and this card comes out and im thinking finally!  but i am disappointed to read that this is not so.

can anyone confirm whether 2 Titan Z's in Quad SLI, can actually perform at minimum 60FPS max settings in games at 4K

Is anyone on this forum that owns 2 Titan Z's really satisfied with this card?  if so, please tell me what you think of them?

i am seriously considering getting me 2 of these bad boys

I figure the best place to get no **** reviews is this forum.

On so high resolution as 4K 28" monitor is good thing because MSAA Off is not visible as on
1080p and that give you even over 25% more performance than with x4MSAA.
If you think to buy Titan Z now you get one for free compare with situation before 5 months.

Here's a Titan-Z SLI review from us.hardware.info.  Skim through each game title, they test 4K towards the bottom.  FWIW, this is a 4-way SLI GTX980 review from the same website, for comparison and perspective.  The technology simply doesn't exist to allow 60+ at 4K max of games from the year 2014, unless you wait for new hardware in the years to come-- but you can't just use those future games to test.

You are forgetting that with time, games get more intensive and graphics cards are only keeping up with every new game; they aren't passing that mark to the point when we don't need multi-GPU to achieve all the performance needed.  These companies (AMD and nVidia) aren't going to overdesign their graphics cards just so we don't have to spend so much money to play a game how we like it.

I think what vlada is saying is that a few months ago the titian Z was $3000... So since it's now $1499, you can buy 2 for what the price of one was just a few month ago.  It's like getting one free...

It may never be back in stock, the 700 series and titans seem to be at their EOL, the 900 series is here, they have lowered the msrp of the Titan Z to 1.5k to just get rid of them so etailers, hardware companies, and stores can get rid of them asap. A die shrink is happening to Maxwell we will see a new titan next year, along with all the lower mid range cards, and probably a new 980 with the die shrink, faster clocks and more vram depending on what AMD brings to the table.
