would the cables work ?

    According to the information listed on the site that you posted, it doesn't. I may be wrong but unless clarified by someone from EVGA I would not use them with the PSU that you ordered. Just my opinion.

    Not work, people talk about that few times ONLY G2/P2.
    Try to change order of PSU and choose this model before it's late

    It's 20$ more but 5 years longer warranty and completely other platform is inside same as compatible Sleeve cables.
    Even fan inside is different 140mm compare with 135mm but that is less important.

    Good thing you asked first because G2 cables won't work with a G1 PSU as stated above..People have burned up components doing that..Newegg says Supports G2/P2 models ONLY which is taken from EVGA's G2/P2 Red Power Supply Cable Set overview..You would need to get a G2 like Vlada said, or do without the cables.
     
    The problem is that while the component-end connectors are of the industry standard AXT PSU pinout specified by Intel, the PSU-end connectors are not because there is no industry standard specification for the PSU-end and they're not always 1:1 direct with the component-end..Using a G2 cable set with a G1 would result in a few criss-crossed wires (especially SATA, as I recall)..If ever in the slightest doubt, or swapping modular cables, always hotwire the PSU (see PSU Paper Clip Test in the Corsair FAQ & Support) and check for correct voltages/grounds on the component-end with a voltmeter and standard ATX PSU pinout diagrams before connecting..You really have to be careful when connecting modular cables from one PSU to another, even different models from the same manufacturer.

    All the cables work except the 24 pin. The G1 uses a 24+4 at the PSU to a standard 24 pin at the motherboard. But they are not a 1 to 1 pinout. All the other cables are correct though.

    if its only one cable to worry about it not worth sending back. it will take away a lot of the clutter using my sleeved extensions and the cables the power supply came with.
     on after thought i made up my mind to send them back thanks for the advice.
