Alright, after much time, pouring over many technical and electronics journals (effectively reverse engineering parts of the BIOS at time), and I do not want to think of how many dozens hours spent in research and documenting by far the most difficult BIOS Guide I have written or even read, it is here and done.

Also, I want to give special thanks to NordicJedi, he was a big help in the last couple weeks, I do well at being very techy on things, he helped make it a lot more readable, and approachable to non-uber techs.  He also helped as a basic editor as well, from my experience it is rare to find someone that technically knowledgeable who is that good at communicating it to someone not of engineer level schooling.

I appreciate the shout-out.  Most people don't realize just how many hundreds to thousands of pages of documentation that were pored through even to find descriptions of relatively unused settings.  I know that won't satisfy some people, but some of these recent BIOS guides have a much higher level of technical detail than you'll find anywhere else.  If you do appreciate what you find in the BIOS guides, please give Dave a big thanks, as he's been pushing to get this finished for quite some time and spent more time than you'll realize to put these together.  Also, give yourselves a big thanks for staying on EVGA to get this finished, as that's what helped get this finally done, as well.

Well, it's a ftw-guide. I got a classified. I really appreciate what you guys have done: EVGATech_DaveB and NordicJedi. But it's not really professional to release the hardware first and then come with a guide (after months!) after it. That's a missing standard. The Z87-series got three boards. There should be three guides too. - Why not put a Z87-motherboard-guide for all three systems togheter?

Edit:...

I am using the FTW as a base and will have versions for the Stinger and Classy as well.

That explains all. - Thanks!

2. Edit: I would appreciate to get more info - gladly within the guide -, about the different LEDs on the board(s).

Thanks DaveB! This guide is an absolute must (the descriptions for most of the BIOS settings are not good enough in the UEFI itself).

Honestly, I've had a pretty poor time overclocking up to this point with a 4790K on a Z87 FTW (I can't hold 4.4 @ 1.3V.... We'll see if this guide makes the difference. Will report back.

4790K - ASUS Maximus VII Hero - 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 1866 - 2x EVGA Geforce GTX 980Ti (2-Way SLI) - Corsair H100i AIO Cooler - EVGA Supernova 1000G2 - Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD - WD 2TB Black HDD - WD 4TB Green HDD - Creative Soundblaster Z - Steelseries Rival Mouse - WASD CODE Keyboard w/ CHERRY MX Greens - Sennheiser G4ME ONE Headset - Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Speakers - Corsair 800D Case
