If you have not already noticed the R9-295X has had its price dropped, again.
The cards can be found on Newegg for around $750.
todays (11-25-14) deal is $650 for the XFX 295X, this is crazy for anybody in the market for a new card(s).

Not sure if AMD is just attempting to push more cards for holiday shoppers or if they are just attempting to take part of the market back.

That is a hella good deal if you can fit a(nother) 120mm rad.

295X is too small of a market for them to be looking for market share. They're unloading stock for whatever reason. My guess is 300-series soon.

Right you are, though as of now $650 for the most powerful card for gaming with the caveat of Crossfire support isn't a bad deal.

Yeah i thought maybe they were unloading too, only because there has been a few rumors about the 300x specs and bench marks going around the web.

Looks like they are dropping prices only in America. Most European countries (including mine) still have it at 1500$. Even the cheapest 290x is still 459.99$ in my country.

Didn't they also do this with the HD7990 as all early demo's for BF 4 was on that card and the fire sale started right before the 290x as to move them out right before .. so we may be just weeks out on seeing something from AMD as I am sure Christmas sales are always a target.

Probably because it's so niche that they don't stock it in EU. Personally, I wouldn't mind 2 of them, but I don't have mounting location for the rads.
