Yes, that is nice!

Just wish the valid tasks stayed in there longer. Mine seem to get wiped off the list as fast as they are uploaded. sometimes I have a couple.

Went to test 330 it ran slower around 102 and then killed my PSU.
I reset it back to 320 and seems ok now Peek at 124
PSU is a new but old 950 it did come back up.

Have to wait for the current task to complete to see if I am really ok.

11-12 minutes is really good. for me with "max settings" is only minute faster. I have had a few that come in in the 7's but that's usually few and far between. And hasn't happened since day 2 or 3 for me.

Now that I'm paying more attention the logs I'm realizing it's auto adjusting pool difficulty settings, giving it a harder and harder workloads now for the same points. Some are now taking almost 20 minutes for me, and still pumping away at just over 128 GH/s. (The auto difficulty settings in the btcguild pool, and most pools, are 64 GH/s and then 128 GH/s) I bet if i tuned mine back a little say to 340 so it's making ~120 GH/s it will drop it's difficulty settings and start producing more points.

you couldn't get the driver pack from eyeboot to install on xp?

i think I had an issue installing the first driver in the list, installed the second one (which doesn't work with boinc) and then reinstalled the first one again, had to click show all devices and it let me do it.

It would not let me install two devices.
Com port conflicts and I/O address conflicts.
Looks like it will only run on Com3 when the 2nd device is detected it pick Com5 but then conflicts and no manual changes that I could find.
I have NOT Testing this problem on Windows 7 or above.

And yes on "click show all devices and it let me do it" I had to do the same on my XP Rig but not my Windows 7 Rig.

Windows XP is slow compared to Windows 7.
Still I wanted to test on Windows XP because this my Weather Station and it runs 7x24 Ken Caryl - NDS Weather
I think the Time is all over for the most part so it is hard to realty see which Campaigns run the fastest be cause I am finding time are different for each task for the most part.

It get's some insane spikes! I'm trying at @ 340 now, i started noticing too many hardware errors again @ 350, between that and the fluctuating difficulty settings administered by the pool I'm lowering it little by little.. it's still running at 128 GH/s.. but less errors now. (how much ya wanna bet 333 is a sweet spot)

Going with --rock-freq 320 on the XP Rig and --rock-freq 340 320 on my Win7 Rig.
Let them run for the next 48 hours to see how they do and compare to each other.
--rock-freq 350 run a little hotter then I want.

I can't do 333 if I do I will end up 666

Runtime: 0 hrs : 7 mins : 23 secs   is my best time at 340 so I will keep it here on my Win7 Rig

eh what's wrong with that, symbol for power and strength!  I figured out a bit ago that when I put all my GPU's to folding@home it produces 666 Points Per Watt..

But hey, I also got married on 6/6/'06.. So I see it everywhere..

In Kabbalistic Judaism, 666 is the number which represents the creation and perfection of the world.

I think it's funny they tell you to use "--rock-freq = controls speed (possible values =280 - 350)" when that seems to only work with BOINC.. and even the version of cgminer they give you requires "--rmu-freq xxx" and it just straight up ignores anything outside that range, reverting to 290.

You need to re-boot your PC
Or a faster way is to Open Task Manager and kill boinctray.exe and boinc.exe THIS IS AFTER YOU EXIT BOINC Manager.
After you make changes to the app_config.xml file like to change the OC --rock-freq 320 Setting or Project Names.

YOU DO NOT NEED A app_info.xml FILE.

PS I set my --rock-freq 384 IN ERROR and it killed my PSU after about 4 tasks completed.

rbox_7 and rbox_8 Start this coming weekend.

320 gives me up to 122 GH/s and the Box supports 100 -110 GH/s so as long as the box is performing at or above the default I will stay at 320 on both Rigs.

320 seems to be the magic number.

I'll move my stuff over, picking up a USB hub tomorrow so I can run the R-Box and possibly another on the desk I have.  Otherwise, once the files are moved and the USB plugged in, I'll get some magic going.  Thanks BC!

FYI on the USB, I did test this Box on my USB 3.0 Ports but they do not seem to work so I am running only on USB 2.0 Ports.
Have a Happy T-Day!

Happy T-Day to you too BC... was going for the 2.0 since the 3.0 still causes the long startup on the X79 Dark.

That will depend on how old your client is. Most of the newer clients now have an option to read config files without restarting. Click on Advanced > Read config files

However, I still recommend the old way of just restarting to guarantee fresh configuration.

I have given that a try but it seems to not work all the time.
Also you need to be using the current version 7.4.27 or above now for BU.
I go one more step and power off my BOX when I change the  --rock-freq setting.

Update, I did change the cc_config.xml file from 2 to 1 and it did not change what was in use.
It may not work on the cc_config.xml file.
