Look at their feedback. See if they ship quick or slow, or have negative feedback.

Shipping companies get things across the country pretty dang fast now. I have no patience for a seller that takes days to ship out an item. The item for sell should show in the shipping area of how many days the shipper usually takes to ship the item.

OK ebay seems the best bet. The URL link I am giving you below is NOT for a LEGO sale but it is an interesting article which may help you in a buying decision if you decide on ebay:

Like Seth89 stated, I would do that. Also, I know they have a monthly subscription where they send you a bunch of elgos and you ship them back...think netflix for legos.

how are they overpriced? Lego sets per piece have hovered around the same price for many many years, the "price" has inflated purely due to the sheer number of pieces included in a set anymore, the amount of detail in sets has grown greatly.  And honestly if you cant take a set and build something other than the single model you lack creativity cause there are tons of types of pieces included in sets these days.

The thing is that some people never outgrow Lego. Take for example construction workers who put together a prefabricated building...they're just using bigger Lego!
