Could you clarify who you were speaking too? I'm just curious as why you say next week?

Got the queue complete email, it's asking me to upload my invoice but I've already done that when I bought the card. Do I need to re-upload it or just wait now?

Thanks in advance.

Same here, just got the email today 11/24 from my 9/24 step up to a 980 ACX 2.0. Invoice was already uploaded a while back, I'll confirm with support later but I'm sure you just wait.

Just wondering, did you ever get an update from CS about this?

@TimmyLee

I sent them an email and all I got back was "Records show that your invoice is uploaded for the GTX 770 4GB you have registered to your account. Please let us know if you have any other questions in order to support you further with your EVGA Product." So basically not really the answer we're looking for. I'll send another asking for clarification.

Someone over in the STEPUP forum said they had been waiting over 3 days while others were able to pay immediately. Weird.

EDIT: Edited what was sent back to me from EVGA to be a direct quote from the email rather than a summary. Rob also contacted me about this and he suggested he would be putting in a note about invoices already being uploaded to prevent any further confusion going forward for other step up emails. :)

That was me. Still nothing and I also haven't heard from customer support since I emailed them before lunch.

If you have already uploaded your invoice, you should be fine.  I am looking into updating the wording on the email to be more clear.  The only instance where you may need to re-upload your invoice is if your invoice is rejected.  You would recieve a different email regarding that though.

Thanks,
Rob

Started my step-up on 9/19 for the reference 980, got my queue complete email yesterday, and got approved and sent my payment today. For people still waiting, hang in there because your time is coming.

Thanks, and thank you for the call confirming that. I think adding in the "If you have already uploaded your invoice then you are good to wait for approval" or something along those lines would help. :)

EDIT: I also will edit my post above about what I received in response to my question to EVGA support. I put up parentheses but it was not a direct quote. My bad.

Re: Set-up program users thread 2014/11/26 01:40:00 (permalink)
Thanks for the clarification Rob.

I received a reply from customer services that didn't really answer my question:

"As you have been notified at this time, the next step would be to submit payment on the remaining balance once the EU team has been able to go through your Step-Up request.  Once they have, you'll be notified again and the option to pay will be made available to you along with a link to the website where it can be done.  If you have any concerns or further questions, please let us know and we'll be glad to assist you."

Today is a week since my notification and still nothing about verifying my invoice, yet others complete the queue, get approved and make their payment on the same day. Is this just a problem with the EU office (lack of staff maybe)? I guess I'm just worried that some automated system will decide that I've passed the payment deadline and cancel my request before I've had a chance to pay.

Please, just take my money.

Mine took a week for the Invoice approval and then weeks upon weeks for the next stage so just give it time.

I know it is hard too, I have finally got my date of arrival of 28/11/2014 so that took 3 months to get sorted.

Re: Set-up program users thread 2014/11/26 04:38:20 (permalink)
I've upgraded from a 760 to a 970 using the Step Up option.
The invoice was uploaded as soon as I registered the GTX 760. This is where I actually learned about this cool option. As soon as the 970 was announced as being available to order, I registered in the Step Up queue. It was pretty intuitive.
I never received a queue number and the entire process took ~ 3 weeks until I was able to pay. The payment was accepted and processed in the same day and by the time the 760 was delivered to EVGA I received via email the UPS tracking number and that the package was already way ahead to be delivered. Plus for EVGA for marking the shipment during night shift.
Overall it took the same amount of time as if I would have ordered it from my local store, but here I could also return the old card.

When joining the Step Up program you should check as well how much the shipping will cost, because this will also add up..

Started Step-Up 72 days ago. 980 reference version up from GTX 780. Just got an email today that my "Step-Up request has completed the queue process and is ready for final processing". Now just have to wait for the approval (1 or 2 days) then pay the difference and ship the 780 to them. Glad things are finally moving along.

GTX 970 FTW started step-up 10/04/2014 - completed queue 12/01/2014 Finally! just waiting for the approval so I can pay them and send the card out.

I am curious though, I live 20 mins away for Brea, CA where EVGA is. Anyone know if I can for go shipping, and just drive the card over and exchange it? Would love not to have any down time cause I will need my computer up and running this week, since I have tons of school work as it is the week before finals for me.

Just finished my queue. Went out to get a GTX 210 to keep my computer up and running because I have no on board video out. Hopefully this will go quickly.

Wow.  This seems like a long process.  I just submitted my stepup request last night for two 970 FTW from 970 SSC.  I am guessing mid January if I am lucky.

Update:

I had my step-up queue complete and payment processed last week. Mailed out both of my 780ti's out to EVGA RMA yesterday and USPS says they should receive it this Friday. I am assuming I will get the 980's by next week...hopefully. Using a temporary video card at the moment.

Good luck to you all! My queue complete on like the 12th, sent my card in on the 14th to be delivered on the 19th (this was November) and UPS LOST MY PACKAGE in CA. I'm still sitting in investigation limbo... I'm pretty pissed to say the least.

Wow, that is very unfortunate to hear! Did you cover the package via insurance? I hope you get your package returned or replaced. I personally used USPS and it seems like my video cards were delivered to EVGA today according to tracking information.

Quick question if someone knows the answer, can you step up if you painted the pci shield let's say in black?

Are you talking about the backplate? If so then yes, the backplate is considered an accessory and they tell you to remove it before sending the card in. You're left to do whatever with the backplate as they don't need it.

@MaelstromOC Sorry to hear about the lost package! :(

Got tracking for my 980 ACX 2.0 yesterday, should be here Wednesday of next week. (Step Up started on 9/24 got approved 11/24)
