Hi folks,

Support directed me here.  I have an x58 SLI Micro that I'd like to get working with a xeon x5660.  It's revision 1.0 so it'll need a hard mod, but I can't find information on the mod anywhere.  Anyone have any experience with it?

I had the SLI3 board and I sent it into EVGA and they did the mod for me, but charged (I'm not the original owner) but it wasn't all that expensive ($50 I think).  If you are the original owner and if it's under warranty I 'think' they will do it for free, you just pay shipping there. I haven't regretted spending the extra cash seeing as now the Xeon runs 1000000x better and 100000x cooler than my old 940.

Yeah they offered to do it for $50 but I'd rather do it myself if possible.

If I were you, I wouldn't. I tried finding good info online and found about 20 different people showing 20 different ways to do it and some with success stories and some people failing with the same idea. My thought was $50 for another 3 years of life out of my rig. Worth it to me.
