Funny Card noise from 970 ftw?

Hey so I notice my card makes a small wisping sound when steam client or some games ( farcry 4, skyrim, COD advanced warfare,Middle Earth SOM) is running, any reason why? As soon as they go off, that wisping sound goes away. The card is not overclocked, and its running on an Asus Formula VI maximum Mobo, with a EVGA 850 B2 PSU powering it.

    What causes this? And can it be fixed? If not, can I RMA this card? Its very annoying.

    I imagine you can, but no guarantee the next one won't have it.
    I just put a new GTX 970 FTW card in today, and have only noticed a very faint coil whine shortly after playing a game.
    I also had it early on , with my previous GTX 770 card, but it eventually for the most part went away.

    I've had 5 PAIRS of gtx 980s with coil whine across 3 rigs. Tired of returning and dealing with it..

    huehuehue, I'm lucky i'm pretty sure I get coil whine, but I have a steel case and a nice pair of logitech g930's huehuehuehuehue
