I'm putting a machine together using an asus m2n32 Deluxe. This MB has no on-board graphics. I have forgotten how to start the machine to load the graphic drivers because I can't get into the BIOS (no signal to the monitor). I can't remember anyway that I used to do it in the past. Also this is running old ATA DVD player and HD and I cant get the DVD player to auto play

I am doing this computer for a Senior Citizen who doesn't have any money to invest in new parts. I'm using the old stuff I have and already put a power supply.

any help would be appreciated by both of us.

Thanks for your prompt response.

if it has NO onboard graphics , you'll need a dedicated videocard in it.....

if the monitor is plugged into any working videocard- the BIOS will show no matter whether you have a driver installed or not...

    Thanks Steve,
I have a Gtx550ti installed but the monitor still shows no signal. I think that I have to go back to basics and try to boot up in safe mode then go from there.
    I appreciate your fast response

...try a different port on the card and/ or a different vga cable &/ or a different vga adapter piece ( if you're using one )

You are saying boot in safe mode.
Are you seeing anything on the monitor?
If you are try updating the drive in device manager.

How many different video inputs are on your monitor? Do you have the right input selected? HDMI? VGA? Display Port? DVI?

I might not have explained the situation completely, now that I look at the original post.
I am putting a computer together from an old ASUS m2n32-sli MB. I was trying to get it to post without the graphic card or HD or DVD Player. I cant get it to post no beeps at all. The MB was good when I took it out of the old machine, I replaced the CMOS Battery and only had the memory and a keyboard plugged in. When I turned it on the fans spun up but no beeps, I tried it with 1 stick of MEM in the required slot and still nothing. I pinned out the Power Supply ( New ) All pins are reading correct voltage. I tried taking it out of the case and the same thing. That's when I thought that the graphic card was the problem I tried adding it without drivers but I still can't get it to post. and I can't get into the bios. I tried to clear it by taking the battery out and moving the jumper like the instructions said, still nothing.

I'm beginning to think that there are problems in the CPU or some of the other plugs. I am going to clean all of the pins and slots and try again. I will post the results when they are complete.

    Thanks for all your responses
