EVGA 1600G2 review up at JonnyGuru: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=391

I thought it was harsh they removed the 0.5 points for the ATX connector being loose but then again they didn't remove points for the unit not adhering to 15A at near full load so it evens out. Interesting also how it is a new platform, only borrowing some things from the Leadex.

Re: EVGA Power Supply Reviews 2014/08/24 06:49:18 (permalink)
No 1500W unit more, production is stopped and manufacturer changed because Super Flower make better power supplies.
Now have 1600W Gold quality is almost Platinum. Super Flower is better than Etasis. Even if they need to design new platform completely they done excellent that. Only one accident with cables stop 1600 G2 to get 10/10 score. Nothing with power supply. Pity.
If you read Johnny Guru review he talk how production over 1200/1300W is not easy task and PSU to stay perfect.
But SF now produce much higher units than 1300W easy.  Seasonic never go over 1200W.
But 1600G2 is same as NEX1500, nothing miss, cables are present in different colors, same huge power cable, PSU is huge and look great...
difference is only because 1600G2 have better performance in every segment.

I think two od these 1600G2 with black sleeve sets are enough side by side in some CASELABS Magnum for 4Way SLI and Xeons, two pumps and 10 HDD for little data center + workstation + gaming rig in same time...under water... 3.2KW - 3200W

Difference between EVGA 1200 P2 with numbers
(220-P2-1200-X1) and (220-P2-1200-X2) is power cable (USA/EU) or something else?

Newegg should fix their list with EVGA SuperNOVA Power Supplies.
Some models are 100% Japanese Capacitors and reviews explain that nicely and clear for Polymer and Electrolytic Capacitors but Newegg didn't mark good.

I find this quote by HiTechLegion in their SuperNOVA 750 B1 review to be highly amusing:
"While performing reliably, the NEX750B also maintained quiet operation from the 135mm double ball bearing fan, which produces very minimal fan noise."

Quiet operation!? Minimal fan noise!!??  Did he do a long distance review? Maybe he wrote it in his studio while the PSU was in fact placed outdoors, on the moon....

I find user that the PSU Fan runs high Speed are generally running the PSU at 90 to 100 Percent.
My neighbor install a new GTX 780 Graphics Card using a new 650 Watt PSU and runs really well.
They installed a Second GTX 780 Graphics Card and are now having random power outage while gaming.
I setup a Test PSU for the Second GTX 780 Graphics Card and for a few days the had now issues at all while gaming.
We took off the Test PSU and soon after starting having random power outages once more while gaming.
We removed the 650 PSU and install a 860i PSU and now they are running fine.

Long story short is their fan was running high performance, they could here the fan I had to put my ear next to it and I could here it but it was normal as far I felt. Their son said it was to loud and I asked him about the fans on the GPU's and he said well that they too are loud but you should expect that from high end video cards. He is 12 Years old.
Sometimes I think that the young base everything on their Mobile Devices level of sound.

I hear you and agree about some being to sensitive over sound, myself included and I realize this is a "budget" PSU, but since the fan on this particular PSU runs at 100% at any load it really doesnt really matter what GPU I have, but just for the sake of conversation, I have a single EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 so I think a 750w psu should cope. The GPU is also whisper quiet at idle, as is the rest of my setup, only noise is the damn PSU with it´s 100% fan speed.....

HiTechLegion has very little in terms of proper testing equipment or thinking. I have seen this before with their cooler temps and noise numbers which make me skeptical of most of their reviews.
