Hello,

I have a question about my new gtx 970 ftw. At start up my computer, the fans go very loud (2-4 seconds). Then the card can be muted. Is this normal? I have firmware 1.1 for ACX 2.0. Is there a way to disable this during startup?

Sorry for my bad english.

Greetings

I have a new 970 FTW I will be putting in tomorrow, it would not bother me as the large corsair fans on my H100i cooler due the same at startup, then go quiet.

The fans go loud until the video BIOS is done initializing. So, no, you can't disable the loud fans in BIOS because the BIOS isn't finished initializing when the loud fan occurs.
