Okay, here's my question and maybe things have changed since the reviews first came out but:

EVGA's marketing says 100% Japanese capacitors for the Supernova G2
I was looking at two reviews and both said the main capacitors are Japanese but both reviews stated they found Chinese Capxons capacitors on the build. So which is correct, the reviews or EVGA's website and packaging?

Edit; one more review saying the same thing

I would tend to trust jonnyguru instead of any marketing statement.

Yeah, that's what I thought too and then I thought it's a huge financial risk these days with potentially false advertising and it got me curious. That's why I was wondering if anything changed from the early reviews or if the boxes are mislabeled.

CORSAIR AX1200i had Capxons.
AX1500i have secondary polymers Capxon and G-Lyxon.
And 1000 P2 have all Nippon Chemi-Con.
1200 P2 electrolytic and polymer capacitors Nippon Chemi-Con, too.

Thanks, Jacob. I figured that had changed since the early reviews but wasn't sure.

That means whoever bought it earlier gets ripped off ? Its a shame.
Evga should offer to replace those psu's on their own cost OR they should have mentioned that they dont come 100% on the day of release.
Even silverstone/thermaltake dont use those caps for what I have seen .

It would have been better if they claimed that they were using capxons

Me not, I like all Japanese special because and Johnny Guru like them more.
CORSAIR on main place put Japanese.
EVGA 750 G2 - 100% Japanese Nippon Chemi-Con.
Platinum only 100% Nippon Chemi-Con

That's true, Eco Mode is excellent decision for 750/850 G2.

"That said, it is still nice to see EVGA use Japanese caps everywhere while offering the G2-750 W up at an incredibly competitive price."

The "G2 750W" has 100% (Japanese caps)... ^^

Re: Supernova G2 100% Japanese capacitors? 2014/12/08 14:47:29 (permalink)
Read Johnny Guru review and Techpowerup about EVGA SuperNOVA 750G2. Super Flower Leadex Gold 750W use fex Capxon but EVGA 750G2 have all Nippon Chemi-Con. Techpower Up and Johnny Guru confirm that.
Only first batch or series of 1000 Gold had Capxon but not all, CORSAIR AXi use them for 1200 Platinum too. Looks like EVGA change that. 750/850G2 are launched later, after 1000/1300 Gold and both had Chemi-Con.
PSU is perfect, silent, you have option to test PSU before installation with one little jump started bridge connecting to 24pin.
When you turn PSU fan will start to spin and when you enable Eco Switch fan will stop after few seconds.
That mean PSU is safe for installation. Great hardware, package best, I thought CORSAIR had best package and they first set standards with nice package and beg for cables, but SuperNOVA package is for class better than AX series.

I installed today 1200 P2 and my thinking is that software is not most accurate for 12V Rail voltage reading.
But when I replace PSU, 12V Rail jump from 11.741V (Seasonic X-750) to 12.110V (EVGA 1200 P2) in AIDA64.
