No idea. I just know the new hangars look pretty cool. It confused me why they named the asteroid hangar industrial. I thought there was already an industrial?

Anyone been playing arena commander?

Since the new hanger patch I am unable to view more than 8 ships in the hanger. Anyone know of a fix for this, or is it just a common bug?

There is limit right now for the hangers. I thought I read it was 9 ships. Some hangers are too small to display some ships as well. I think it's in the patch notes. You can fly anything available to fly (3 ships now?) if you have it, but will only be able to see so many. Changing hangers may make others available.

M50 is VERY cool. Glad I got one.

Happy with the way things are going thus far. Favorite mode is Capture the Core.

Anyone else pick up the reclaimer? It is looking like a pretty solid salvage ship.

Out of the 16 hanger ready ships only a max of 8-9 show up. It seems to vary in number. I guess it is a known bug and will be fixed in the next patch.

Looks pretty good, but depending upon the other concepts coming out soon, some of those might turn out more interesting. My current ships are M50, Khartu, F7C-M with F7A skin, Retaliator, Reclaimer, Merchantman, 890 Jump and Idris-P. Either my Reclaimer or 890 Jump could get recycled if some of the new concepts are better.

Drake Herald concept sale this week for only $85! Finally a chance for me to get LTI (and future possibilities of CCU to another ship once this one reaches Arena Commander).

Both ships were redundant to ship types I have. If I want a single seater with speed i have M50, if I want something small with armament, I use my F7C-M. The freelancer doesn't really stack up well for trade compared to the other ships I have. I see both ships as baseline for what they do and are outclassed with other offerings I already have. They're not bad ships, but they're dead weight compared to what I currently own. I actually really like the Aurora cockpit design. It's end use does not appeal to me though.

No need to purchase them, just earn them in game though gameplay once persistent universe goes live. I have my ships because I have no patience. When I want things, I want them now. *chuckle*

Besides, i have enough crazy ships a lot of EVGA members can help run them.

The FPS looks incredible...  A little bullet-spongey but I didn't expect balance this early.

for you miners

Think overall it looks cool, but would be a pain to fly because of the port side visibility out the bridge windscreen. Then again I don't think the primary goal of that ship is spaceflight. It's merely incidental it flies in space to get from one location to another to mine. The design aspect I like of it that I think is greatly superior to previous SC ship designs is the fact that the cargo area looks to be rotating as though it's an alive ship. All other SC ships are static high detail boxes.

Regardless of the ship, SC is always fun to see a new ship. They're almost all designed by people who do movie assets, so the detail on them are very cool. You have the same people who are working on Star Wars, Star Trek and Aliens current movies doing the art assets.

I really am excited to see what comes of the mining infrastructure in star citizen. I picked up two of the Orion's as I think they can provide allot of potential.

I am loving the growth and design ideas for this game.  What you said about movie industry people tracks as well.  Heck, as soon as I saw the miner and the rotating sections, I thought of Babylon5 and the Earth Force Destroyers that used rotating sections to maintain gravity.

Every new update I get more interested.  I need to re-download it, somehow game files got hosed up.  I saw a video demoing the first race track and it just looks FUN.

I rather enjoyed it, what disappointed you?  It really takes some getting used to, as most sims are written to be atmospheric flight, and not even accurately there, this is accurate for flying in a void.
I played the race portion some, that was really fun, and frankly a great way to get your flying/handling down a lot better.

I love the look of the game, but the thing is, some of the ships cost, like really... that much for a 3d model... that you really don't own, that you can lose if your insurance on the ship is up? Just has me going wow they have said screw micro transactions lets go for the jugular.

People are blowing that out of proportion. It's merely an (ingenious and very effective) avenue to obtain crowd sourced funding for a game that would otherwise not be made. Furthermore, the danger of actually losing something tangible and/or difficult to obtain makes the game. It doesn't break it.

People are blowing that out of proportion. It's merely an (ingenious and very effective) avenue to obtain crowd sourced funding for a game that would otherwise not be made. Furthermore, the danger of actually losing something tangible and/or difficult to obtain makes the game. It doesn't break it.

lets look at the pledge ships,
for 45 to 15,000 dollars
for chassis upgrades
0 for ships of the same type of say a racer/fighter variant specials not included.
5-85 dollars dollars from variants to special variants.
Then there are the pass's yearly/monthly subscription plans 10 bucks to 240
Then the Chit Credits 10-20 bucks depending on what in game currency you buy
Then there are the real 3d printed models 10 to 135 this section also has tshirts/hoodies

But yeah for 3d pixels 15k for the full complete mega package.... then most of the ships are over close to or over 100 usd...  but 15k for stuff that is not real, that you co not own, do not have physically in your hands... even 100 bucks 200 bucks 300 bucks and going all the way up to 15k you get the point. I would not say blowing it out of proportion. The game is already been crowd funded, has surpassed funding expectations, and now is saying lets try to get a little more, lets take our loyal customers/fans and hold them by their ankles...
