I have had my system built for over a year, X58 LE with i7-920 D0. I finally decided to try to OC, and I got 3.3ghz in under an hour. I can't believe how easy it was with E-LEET. I know it's probably not anywhere near the biggest 920 OC, but it is a big enough gain for a noob like me. Tested it for over in hour in Prime at 100% CPU, never locked or BSODed, and didn't break over 69 degrees on any core. Just wanted to share!

EVGA x58 LE, Intel i7 920 @ 3.3ghz, 6 gigs OCZ DDR3, OCZ modXstream 700w PSU, MSI TwinFrozr II GTX 465 oc'd, Corsair H50, Aero Cool Touch 2000 Fan Controller, Cooler Master Scout Storm Case, 2x WD Caviar Black 640gb for RAID 0, WD Cav. Blk. 500 for backup, Creative Fatal1ty Pro

Hey, congrads on your OC. That said, OC W/E-leet is a no-no on this forum. This is why:

    1. Did you try to set the BIOS settings to your E-leet OC that you achieved? Try it. It will probably work since it is such a mild OC, but if you try that with a 4GHz OC you will prob end up resetting CMOS because it wouldn't even boot any more.
    2. OCing W/E-leet is dangerous. I was doing that, everything was going great as usual, let my guard down, started some stress-testing W/LinX, came back and seen the core temp was 101!  I then looked at CPU Vcore and it was way up above what I set. The CPU had down-clocked (multiplier) to avoid damage. I had forgot to turn on my speakers to hear the temperature alarm from RealTemp. It had been like that for maybe 5-10 minutes! The bug had to do with E-leet closing and re-opening when I had set the option to retain OC settings. When I did that, then adjusted the voltage up, it added it to the last adjustment and read wrong on the dropdown!

Fortunately my CPU shows no damage from the incident. But lesson learned. Most ppls here say don't use E-leet for OCing.

    Main (gaming) rig: i7-3930K; Asus Rampage IV Extreme; H100 W/p-p Excaliburs, AS5; MSI 7870 2GD5/OC; Crucial M4 SSD 256GB.
See my primary ModsRigs: Adam for the rest, and I have a second (wife's) rig Asus Rampage III Extreme & 960: Eve.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

This guide got me to a easy and stable 4.2ghz with the i7 920.

The 920 was my first OC CPU too.
2nd was an AMD chip using the MSI switch (cheating)
and I just OC my i7 3820 for the first time this week from 3.6 to 4.3
