Hi guys, i open support ticket some days ago about this:
"I think my GTX 570 died last night after 3 years of use. It had been months that the card was heating up too.
Average of 90 at 97 degrees in gaming.
So last night, when viewing a HD video, the image distorted and the PC crashed with blue screen.
After reset, the driver started braking with constant error messages.
So after trying some games that always crash with graphical anomalies, the screen image will not show up anymore.
But after formatting the PC, the card show the screen image, but I can't install the drivers. After install the screen image is gone and the PC crash and reset. Only works with native Windows driver and 800x600 resolution.
And always do periodic maintenance, making cleaning dust and changing the thermal grease (with EVGA Frostbite).
So what can be done? The VGA really died?"

So, the answer from EVGA:
"Hello,
That does sound like the card was overheating and has failed. Unfortunately, the card is a -TR warranty code, which is a 2 year warranty. As the card was bought on 4/14/11, the warranty expired on 4/14/13, putting it more than 1 1/2 years out of warranty so we cannot offer a replacement for the video card. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Regards,
EVGA"

So, you guys have any idea? This the second time it happens to me. First i buy a GTX 460 (01G-P3-1365-TR) it had a manufacturing defect which causes overheating.
Luckily was under warranty and changed to GTX 570 (012-P3-1570-TR). So, after almost 4 years, this is my current problem.

I now consider to switch brands. Maybe Asus, Gigabyte or MSI.

Thanks for any help.

3 years of use is great. Time to buy a new GPU.

LOL. Considering the absurd price of hardware in Brazil, 3 years is a little time.
Anyway, I have no other alternative, i will buy.

    Cheers.

You may be able to fix it by disassembling the card and baking only the PCB like this..Thermal stress or other factors can cause solder cracking which can lead to many woes (BSOD, artifacting, driver errors, etc.)..Baking should reflow any cracks that might exist and with any luck that will fix it, but who knows for how long..If you bake it, do it only with the GPU side up.

I seen you've been having ongoing overheating issues with that card..Maybe the vapor chamber cooler has sprung an atmospheric leak somewhere, it's very rare but it has happened before..If you didn't get the fan speed unlocker VBIOS for it, contact EVGA (preferably) for it or search the internet for it, it's around..That might help if you get it going again.

Just a few thoughts here to help out if you're in a pinch.

Ok, i will try these tips and post my results soon as possible. Thanks for the tips mate.
So, I can bake the GPU in a microwave oven or in a common stove?

    Cheers.

No problem..Yes, you can bake a graphics card in a microwave oven, but it goes pretty much like this

Use a normal gas/electric oven bro..The oven trick usually works very well when solder cracking is the issue.
