Hi, guys.

I'm not part of the EVGA team as I had made my own when first getting set up crunching for BOINC on this computer (here are my computer's stats, if any of you are interested: http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/host/detail/165430523 - moving on up the ranks a bit these days by better utilizing my two EVGA Titan Black Superclocked cards). I only crunch on this computer.

Been toying a little with the idea of maybe joining another team though as the one I've set up is mostly just for me. Maybe some of you guys can help sell me on the idea of joining this team? Just a bit curious about it, I suppose, but also found out today that one of my colleagues at work is on the EVGA Folding team. I prefer BOINC, but to each their own. On the other hand though, I kind of like being a free range cruncher.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm glad EVGA has a BOINC team as I think it's a great way to help support some of these scientific and humanitarian endeavors while making good use of our rigs.

Cheers, and happy crunching!

I'm not going to even try to sell the team... it does that by itself.  But I will say this, regardless of whether you lone wolf it, join another team or ours it is much appreciated that contribute to science.  Good luck and thanks for helping a cause.

Team member or not, you are a fellow cruncher, and welcome at Our forums.
While deciding to join or not, I have a suggestion for you.
Why don't you join in at Our CRUNCHATHLON GPUGRID [MONTHLY RUN - RACE III] as described above by bcavnaugh above.
You will fight shoulder to shoulder With the finest crunchers, against the biggest teams.
Just to see how you like to be a part of a team.
The difference between going solo and With a team is eh... Crunching wise.... None. Socially huge.
No one here will tell you what to do.
We are a gentlemen's society of crunchers, possibly the finest

    Thanks for the welcome, guys.

I'm going to hold off on messing with team changes and account management for BOINC, partly due to a lack of knowledge about it, since I haven't looked much into it before, and partly because I crunch for a particular smaller amount of projects which includes long running optimization tests that I started not long ago.

Thanks for sharing some of the team goals and contests just the same. They're interesting and seem like fun. But then again, if I get it sorted in time, I might participate in the CRUNCHATHON GPUGRID challenge, since that is one of the main projects I have been crunching for recently. We'll see.

Time to go and get ready for my day job.

    Best regards.
