So I had a community vote and it ended up getting 17 votes. Not much but I have a general idea what the community likes. It is not going to be everyones perfect or favorote build but hopefully a majority accept it.

I would like to say thank you to monsoon cooling who sponsored the fittings, tubing, and their reservoir. Monsoon is awesome and if you are looking at any sort of water cooling to look at them first. They are a small company in Texas, owned by a couple of families. I am a big fan of self owned ot smaller companies because they have to prove themselves, and Monsoon has proven their quality as nice as their bigger competitors and bested them at customer support. So please help them and take a lool and tell them Colby sent you.

I will be using their solid acrylic PETG tubing called hardline, hardline fittings, and their reservoir. Now a quick note about their hardline fittings, they are made a little different than other companies. It uses a collar that allows the compression to grab and hold the tubing in place. They have a video here if you wish to know more, http://youtu.be/tU1MoA3S30s.

On with the specs. I will be basing this build off of the X99 classifiex mounted with Natemans block set. The CPU will be a 5960x mated by a EK supremacy EVO. Using 2x 850 evo 1tb for memory and a m.2 ssd. 8x4gb of Corsair Dominator. Powering the rig is a 1600w P2 PSU. The GPU will be 3x 980ti/1080 Classifieds, whatever they name it, 4 if I can afford it. For cooling i will be doing a dual loop, both have 2x 360 radiators. 1 loop for GPUs, the other for CPU and MOBO. There was a 3 way tie on color being white/blue/red. I will be doing red as it is the opposite of blue. It also seems EVGA is using red for their classy series and blue elsewhere which is perfect for what i do. Finally it will be housed in a caselabs s8.

So as you can see i am not ready forbthis build.... buy i promised you a mini build. That is exactly what i am doing now. Quick list of specs z97 stinger+4790k+nateman block. 2x 840 pro 1tb+half m-pcie ssd, ek pe radiators, monsoon fitting, tubing, and reservoir. Powered by 1000w P2. Noticed i didnt say any gpu, because i would love a 980 hydro, but there isnt any. It is taking so long that i might wait for a 990.

Jacob you and me have a problem. I need a 980 hydro soon or I cant do my build. I would just do it myself with an evga block but you dont sell a backplate seperate. We got a issues. I need them resolved. I am joking, but i do need this part.

New Technologies at release data are not available a dime a dozen.
I took me almost 4 Months to get 3 Titan Signature Cards.
Before that I took almost a year to find the Hydro Copper Water Block for the GTX 690.
You need to allow time for new Technologies to be available and remember that once they are out at a dime a dozen the Technology is now for the most part out dated.

The z97 parts actually arrived a few days ago but I didnt have time to start the build. I havent ordered the radiators as I was having doubts about the caselabs s3. I installed the 4790k and the RAM. I also did a novice mistake and forgot to order the psu... its ordered now.

The case arrived yesterday and it came prebuilt. So i had to carry it for 40 mins in subway which was okay... because my tools still have not come from moving. I must say i love this case. But 1 issue I bought the side radiator mount... and i am not sure how to install it so if someone could help me out i would appreciate.

As you can see a 120mm fan sits in the side slot pwrfectly but the mounting bracket does not.... how is this supposed to work.... help?

I am only joking, i do need that part though. Added a note about me joking in case people take it the wrong way.

As for the links, I know they are messed up. I cant fix it because i only have a mobile and everytime i try to fix it it only gets worse. Ill just remove it until it gets fixed.

So I was going to start the build last night just get the basics done. Hopefully get a feel for the case and see if my plans would work. Ran into some issues for starters, my tools are still bwing shipped so i will get new ones tonight. Next issue is that the side radiator mount is for the pedestal not a s3. That description just says s3 not the pedestal. I havent given up but going to take some time as to what to do about this.

I will be doing a quick review of the s3 case. First let me tell you this case feels light. It feels alot light than the 350D. The metal is also thick, i tried to bend it barehand and it does not bend or flex. My daughter then tested the painting and dragged and hit the case with the radiator bracket, I could not find any visible damage or scratches. This is by far not a perfect case, the metal when bent dont form to be perfectly sealed but that minor some black caulk can fix that. There is a few issues i have though I would like to bring up. For starters is the window is made out of acrylic, I would like glass but acrylic is pretty standard. I will be finding a piece of glass to replace it though.

Another issue is the motherboard stand offs, they are brass color. For the cost of this case I kinda expected color matched standoffs or at least black. This seems pretty standard. Normally not a big issue but when you have a horizontal board it very obvious.

I also added a stealth ssd motherboard, that allows for 2.5" ssd or hdd to be mounted here. The issue? Where do i run the cables? Maybe it was mounted wrong but as of right now nowhere to run cables.

Here is where the SSDs will sit.

So here is a pic of the mobo in the case, where one day it will sit in its glory.

Final thoughts: Until I get tools today and rip it apart to find out fixes or inherent flaws these are it. It is a great case right now. I was worried about the front air vent and having to put a filter on the outside but the front cover pops off to reveal a similiar air vent on the core allowing me to hide the filter. I will update when i have more information.

I have also decided to paint the RAM aluminium bar that is silver a flat black to match the style more. I am also needing a fabricator to make a cover to hide the m-pcie lan card if anyone is interested in trying..

Serious question anyone know much about korean electric grid? I asked my landlord/realtor/building custodian and they were not sure the outlet would support 800+ watts.

I have been busy for last few days so expect another update tomorrow.

Bad news first. When i was trying to remove the RAM to get some shots and one of the latches broke. Evga is already doing an RMA and cross shipping. I dont blame EVGA for some reasom the Corsair dominator RAM was very difficult to eject and it looks like there was a bubble in the mold. But it is still a issue i dont feel responsible, and it was just a freak accident.

Well i have found out that the cables run under the mobo to the ssd under on the stealth hdd cage. There was a issue that i could only fit my ssd, my WD black hdd did not fit though. My only complaint is once again the screws are not colored and stand out as silver.

That was okay, that i couldnt install my WD HDD, because I could not fit a 3rd 240mm rad in the side. So i installed more hhds in that spot.

I am definetly going to have to do some custom sleeving. All the cables are about twice as long as they need to be. This is where i finished up and broke the ram latch.

Here are the RAM tops that I am prepping to makr black.

Project is on haitus. Father was attacked by an elk in the mountains. Severe gash across the skull and 3 penetrations, 2 in the stomach 1 in leg. Think he has a couple broken ribs and wrist from the throw. He is fine but medical bills are stacking up, so diverting funds to help him out. Sorry guys, I will attempt to finish the z97 build ASAP.

    * I will still be buying natemans blocks, since they are limited time item along, hopefully I can find some good deals and buy the rest of the stuff.
