Gtrizzyy
I am really curious what the huge fuss is about with this card unless for benchmarking, but then water hydro solution would be better. The I/O kills me on this card. I currently have triple Asus 144hz monitors (the 1080) and 1 Rog swift ( trying to get the other 2). It seems like 1440p is the sweet spot as 980 is overkill for 1080p and 4k is really bad on graphic intensive games. If everyone is trying to get the Rog Swift then why a huge fuss about this card on 1 Swift... when any 980 will run it really well. You cant have this card and run triple ROG Swift and I opt for more of an immersive  gaming experience.

I'm holding out for whatever card MSI is waiting to make a Lightning version of.  990 or 980 Ti or 980 8GB (or the Ti might be 8GB off the bat).  Whatever.  Plus once AMD drops their new cards NV is going to do a price cut.

I had the UPS customer center hold it for me and I picked it up after work, which was 5 minutes away. Happily, I will not be able to install them as I think my wife's water just broke...

Underneath the Factory Heat Sink (Plate) is pretty much the same as an EVGA GTX 780Ti Classified Kingpin Edition looks like, But I had already re-installed the Plate before I took any Pics and added the GPU Water Blocks, Which BTW I bought last Year on Ebay for $25 each.

Since I am CONSTANTLY changing to New Graphics Cards on an almost Monthly Basis, I Just got Tired of spending Hundreds of Extra $$$ for Full Cover Water Blocks every time a New PCB design came out, Then finding out that the old ones I bought wouldn't fit the New PCB Design, So I improvised a Little........

Halloween, how is your performance? I'm waiting on a cross shipment RMA for mine... Sucky. Not stable at stock, and increasing voltage worsens it. How's yours?

I've skipped the Stock Air Cooling Testing and got the Two Classifieds in 2-Way SLI up and running on Water Cooling right out-of-the-box this evening at Factory Stock Clocks So I haven't really had a chance yet to do any more testing at higher Clocks/Voltages, Plus I still have to eventually try the 3rd party Bios's along with the Classy Voltage Tool software and then test with the EVBot Controller once I get the P37 Firmware flashed for use with the Classifieds.

IMO, and Judging from past experience I think they would have some of the same problems like my previous GTX 780Ti Classified Kingpin Editions did on just the Factory Air Cooling, So that is why I went with at least the Water Cooling before I start really pushing for Higher Clocks/Voltages, But more Testing will determine how much that will help.

I planned to start testing mine on air only, today but it looks like it will be next week before I get started, But will run the same benchmarks on stock settings and slowly start cranking them up to compare temps. will be interesting to see what 4 of these will do on water and an amped bios.

awesome so far.

Smokey the Bear
They're five inches wide.

Very curious to hear the results of that.

I'd assume neither of you have any issues increasing your voltage then. Just wanted to double check.

I definitely plan on going under water the moment there's a nice fc block out for it. Hopefully that won't take too long!

will be interesting to see what 4 of these will do on water and an amped bios.

awesome so far.

I Agree, And Hopefully I can eventually Find/Purchase Two more for 4-Way SLI Testing/Benching, But You already Know how hard that can be!

UPS tried to deliver my Classified at 12:30 pm, but no one got home until 1 PM. I'm thinking to myself, "it figures". Now I have to wait until Monday.

Finally your upgrade is close.
GTX980 Classified look almost same as GTX780Ti Classified without cooler.
EVbot Connector, Voltage Read Points, 8+8 pin.

It's here.
Stock clock 3d mark 12506 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3111793
ASC 2.0 SC for comparison was 12248 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3025596

"Mild" for Classy overclock +104 clock, +500 memory 13819 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3111853
And I feel there is much, much more, I didn't even have to crank up fans speed.

Another interesting observation, the temp on stock fan profile (BIOS 1) was hovering around 75-78 but fans never went over 38%, super quiet.
Actual clock was rock stable at 1522 and one more, the reported GPU power was in 78% area, when on GTX 980 ACX 2.0 SC at the same same base clock increment it was getting into 125% (max TDP) at which point it was heavily throttling back, of course fans were up at 100% manual to keep it from crashing.
