I don't play BF4 but i have been gaming in Cod MW3 & Ghosts for the past 2-3 hours and i have had no blue screens and gameplay was smoother than the 344.11 driver but no FPS increases for me.

The driver is working good for me....760FTW.

Re: 344.48 WHQL Driver Released 2014/10/22 14:02:45 (permalink)
These drivers runs my SLI gtx980 like a champ. No stutters in BF4 and graphics are crisp. Havent messed with DSR yet but I read a few people have been able to use it, even in SLI.

However, I have ran across a new problem, Every driver after 344.11, I seemed to have lost a few AA settings in nvcp. With older drivers and with my recently discarded gtx 580 SLI system, I could go as far as 16xqc or even 32xaa in games such as FIFA or Grid 2, Grid Autosport and so on. Now I am only limited to 4x,8x, SLI 8x and SLI 16x in NVCP and in game. Is it a driver issue or am i just missing something? If anyone has any clue, please help this lonely geek out....

Other than that, these driver feels like the first true driver for gtx 900 series.

Oh wow, can't wait to test this on my 760.

I had a old game I played, but it had terrible anti-aliasing. The custom 4K resolution worked in other games, but never this one.

Glad to see it is here for all cards.

When I get the chance to download it on WiFi, I'll be sure to post some comparison screenshots!

Installer failed twice before I could get the drivers to install properly... Nvidia failure.

EDIT: Have to say supersampling looks pretty amazing in games so far though.

Any word on whether or not these drivers remedy the issue observed with 900 series cards on systems with large quantities of RAM?

Not sure what exact issue u were talking to but the only complains I've heard of are DSR not working properly with some SLI setups. Keep us updated as I would like to know about it as well.

Quite a few people were reporting that on system with 32 GB of RAM or more, that the 900 series cards were very unstable. Lots of crashing, even just on the desktop. Pulling out memory until less than 32 GB was in the system seemed to resolve the issue for people suffering from this. Supposedly it was acknowledged by nVidia and filed as a bug, so I'm curious if these drivers will fix it.

I'm hoping to wait until this issue is resolved before I install my GTX 980, as I run more than 32 GB of RAM.

The issue with the invisible mouse cursor after a Windows restart or cold boot seems to have been fixed in this driver. I've noticed, however, GPU temps increasing. Looks to be due to the GPU's core clocks exceeding its original GPU Boost clock. Even when reducing the max clock in Precision X, the temps still remain higher than they were in the previous driver. Temps went up to 78°C playing Titanfall (with a staggering 3.5 GB of VRAM in use). When playing NFS Rivals, which played smoothly at 60 fps with the core clock at 1000 MHz, the GPU now runs at 1400 MHz, which is overkill for that game and resulting in unnecessary heat and power usage. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Have installed these & set up & used DSR on my GTX 780Ti w/ Aces High.
    Set DSR @ 2.25% native resolution & smoothness @ 80% (w/ native res of 2560x1440 puts DSR res @ 3840x2160 or 4K).

Went in AH & picked 3840x2160 res & played the game............................
All I can say is WOW!
Nvidia's got a bonafide winner going here..........all that AND a bag of chips!

Re: 344.48 WHQL Driver Released 2014/10/24 06:32:15 (permalink)
OK, so despite the higher GPU temps, I suppose the latest driver improves GPU performance by scaling up the clock speeds. But it's weird, though, that even if I cap the clock speed to 900 MHz, the temps are still higher than with the previous driver. It's probably due to the higher voltages set by the latest driver. I compensated for the higher temps by increasing the max fan speed to 60%, which is noisier, but will have to make do. (There's no coil whine issue, anyway.) I ran a stress test by running Crysis 3 with almost all settings maxed for about 20 minutes and with the adjusted fan curve, the GPU temps failed to reach 70°C. It's surprising considering that Titanfall pushed it up to nearly 80°C with 50% fan speed. The ambient room temp is about 71°F this morning compared to 78°F yesterday afternoon. I'll have to run Titanfall later today with the higher fan speed and report my findings.

Titanfall with GPU temps at 72°C. At least better than yesterday. But nevertheless, this new driver seems to perform better than 344.16.

I am playing BF4, in SLI, with DSR to 4x. I don't get why people are asking about DSR and SLI, they work.

Also tested in D3 and WoW so far.

I'd suggest your SLI issue is a game related problem. 3 way 680's and they were 95%, 95%, 94% in BF4 @ 1080, 4x DSR, mix of highs and lows for crispness.

Works well with Hitman Absolution except for the "fog" problem. Hope nVidia gets that one worked out soon. Also, Voxel Global Illumination (VXGI) is neat but still needs refining.

From what I've seen around the various forums, the DSR/SLI issue is for the most part specific to those with G-sync monitors.

Zero was too sharp, default 33% too blurry. I decided to split the difference and it worked.

What smoothness are you guys talking about? Is it like a setting in GeForce Experiance? What 15%? pleasae help as I am using DSR and some objects like text look blurry.

    Thank you.

I have it in the Nvidia control panel right under the DSR options. The default setting is too blurry.

    Yeh Thanks I found it.

I thought all DSR options are in nVidia Control Panel but it wasn't!

I set it up on 15% and for me, it is perfect.

This DSR is incredible and I really like it.
