Performance, reliability, and of course cost are the factors.
I have narrowed down the search to a Samsung EVO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147247
 or Intel 530 series: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167180
I could use a SSD drive bay adapter too.
Any advice would be great guys.....thanks.

Out of those two, go for the EVO all day.
Though you might want to hold for a week or so because supposedly the 850 EVO is coming.

Out of the two you listed the Intel would be more reliable and most consistent.

Too bad you missed the shell shocker deal, they had that Intel 530 240GB for about the same price as the 120GB just yesterday. I'd get the Intel.

Yes I'm kicking myself for missing that deal now.

The holiday season is almost here if you can wait a month. Could probably find the same or better deals.

Thought I'd throw this into the mix:

There's some head to head with the 530 vs EVO. Not trying to prove any sort of point here...just giving some more information to the OP.

That Samsung is an excellent drive and I know it is a quicker drive than the Intel. I'm just a bigger fan of MLC drives and ones that carry a 5+ year warranty.

Personally, i'd get one of these if I were in the market:

Couldn't agree more on MLC...but the 850 Pro EVO will be coming out soon so that's an option.
I'd not heard of Edge before. Pretty good specs with a decent warranty.
