So my X58 SLI was replaced. It died days after I received it. I ended up building a new machine. Last week I RMAed it again to put in it a Westmere X5650. Talked to EVGA - told them I need a Westmere compatability - no problem. Today I chat with Eduardo who tells me he has no notes regarding the mod - but not too worry - just send it in again! Send it in? Why can't you guys get it right the first time around? How hard was it to make a note of this?  Do you realize that to send it in means another 3 weeks out plus another shipping charge? I am simply beyond upset since my 920 is gone and I have a processor that will not run in my new replacement.

    habakkuk007,

I do apologize for any confusion however I did review the notes we have on file and unfortunately I am only finding that your motherboard was being submitted for an RMA due to popped capacitors.  We authorized an RMA on 10/11/2014 and received the original defective board from you on 10/22/2014.  As we typically turn-around replacements in 1-3 business days of receiving the original unit.  We issued a replacement on 10/24/2014.

I see no mention of a Westmere CPU modification was notated as suggested.  We do offer modification on the X58 platform however we proceed with a different process for the modification.

Moving beyond this point, I will have one of the customer service team members contact you to assist in getting this fixed.

    Regards,
