I wouldn't worry. They can see the demand here and extrapolate that people elsewhere want them. Once the craziness of the launch smooths out and supply starts to even out with the demand I'm sure they'll figure something out.

Since all of the other cards are either ugly as all get out, or look like they belong to a 13yr old (I'm looking at you MSI) this is the only way I'll build my project into the 970s generation.

The difference is, this time around with the 900 series, the 970 is in more demand than the 980, compared to the 770 vs 780, yet a reference version was made for that.

I'm not gonna lie, reference cooler is probably looking much better than most aftermarket coolers out there. And it's not that bad as a cooler. I'm pretty sure a lot of people might prefer a SC-SSC version of it.

I don't think other brands even think about this. If anyone is ever gonna provide a reference 970/980, it is probably EVGA.

Sorry nothing officially in works right now. Still being looked at but cannot guarantee either way right now.

I really hope this cooler gets on the GTX 970 by the end of the year or at least an official announcement that its on the works before then.

Ahh... the thread is cooling down into the depths, with no success, for only the necromancer will revive this.

I'll be poking my head in at least once a week, to make sure this thread stays relevant until a "Yes we've decided to make it, stay tuned" or "No, sorry we don't think its worth it this time around" answer gets back to us. I'm reeeeally kind of putting all of my 'wish eggs' in this basket.

It's a new page so I suspect it will come into stock in the near future. I'm in the UK so Newegg is irrelevant to me anyway, but on OcUK the Reference 970 is a preorder for 7th November, so I suspect this card will be stocked in a couple of places in the next few days/weeks ;)

lol no that page has been there for weeks. its NOT a card you can buy from newegg and was just a promo and just used the standard 970 pic from Nvidia.

Looks like there may be some on the market. If those are just general pictures of the reference 970s and not what they are actually selling too bad, although the one from manli looks like it has the manli logo on its fan. Either way I hope to get my hands on the reference 970 soon :). (preferably from EVGA) The reference 970s are sexy and way better looking then the custom designs. Why change something that already looks amazing? Well I guess they want to save a few bucks but come on, we will pay extra for the greatness that is the 970 GTX reference cooler/design.

I think with the new 6gb and 8gb Nvidia video cards coming out, this would be a GREAT time to move the 970 to the 980 reference board design and SLAP on that 980 cooler.

Hello

I signed up to this forum just to make this happen!!
I'm sticking with my evga 670FTW Sig.2 until one of these comes out with the NVTTM cooler.
my 670 is as fast as a 680 but now and then, and thats not slow tbh, but sometimes it struggles with the eye candy turned on.
i got offers to buy a GTX780 for around 200-250€ but it just isn't worth the upgrade.

So please EVGA ... make this happen!!

I found out that Leadtek is offering a GTX970 (NVTTM) on their website (leadtek(dot)com blabla) so i don't think this would be a challenge for EVGA.

Sorry to disappoint you guys but looks like Nvidia having trouble making GTX 980 cooler too :( they ran out of stock in min and only come in so little numbers and all brands selling there GTX 980 ref 50$ or more plus the original price also there custom cooling is a bit cheaper than this so i think they wont make it :( :(

Just wait and see

its a 980 cooler not a Titan cooler. it has no vapor chamber like Titan cooler.

Sitting here with two EVGA 780 SC's with the reference coolers. I feel your pain guys, I originally wanted the 770 with a titan cooler back when those cards released but thankfully the price drops let the 780 fall into my budget :) I hope for your sake that these reference-cooled cards are released soon.

Newegg has this GTX 970 with reference cooler but not for individual sale, you have to buy other items.

Sorry to bust the bubble here, but this card is not for purchase. Its a configuration option for one of the complete gaming pc's that Newegg sells. Even still, just because the picture on this page is the stock image of the Nvidia release 970... I still doubt that its the 970 with 980 cooler.. I think its probably still a card from zotac or pny, etc.

So E-VGA, dodgy ACX coolers and no decent blower style 970 yet? Probably you don't want my money. Goodbye E-VGA, hello Gigabyte 970 G1 Gaming.
