Hello all I was just wondering what people have been getting for sustainable and playable overclock results for this card- GTX 970 SC ACX2.0?? At stock mine boosted to around 1354 mhz. I got mine up to 1454 mhz and added 100mhz to the memory and everything seems fine with my games and heaven/valley. With my fan curve I set it never gets above 60 degrees even with some added voltage. It did not like when I tried for 1500 mhz as it failed 3/4 through the heaven benchmark, and that was with more voltage. Just curious what anyone else's results were and if there was a breaking in period at all with regards to overclocking these cards?? Btw I am using MSI afterburner.

Thanks!
Chris

I'm up to 1512 MHz (+120) on the stock voltage; it boosted to 1392 out of the box. My temps get up to 72 C, but I use a quiet fan profile that maxes out at 50% speed. I didn't play around a lot with the memory, but I'm currently +200 and stable. These things are vicious.

1594mhz here @40 degrees Celsius. Haven't touched the voltage, if i increase it my monitor becomes inaccessible and flashes blue?? power target is 110% gpu clock offset is 215mhz and memory is 600mhz

1390 (SC ACX 2.00) and +200 on mem. It runs into power limits after that. Temps around 75C in benches and ASIC is 58%.

I feel like I must have some other underlying system issues. I bumped my power target to 110% and added like 50MHz to the GPU only and my system crashes, that with an ASIC of 75 and 71 on my two cards. They both run stock settings right now.

try to set your target to 110% and your memclock to 500mhz, your cpuclock to 150hz and your fan speed to 50%

Well my display driver keeps crashing apparently this new driver is problematic. It was fine the other day and stable at 1529 with no artifacting or anything on the ocx burner.. now it keeps crashing..

    Hi,
I've experimented with different o/c software. The two main ones being MSI After burner and EVGA Precision. I found that the EVGA software works alot better.
I managed to increase GPU to +130 and memory +500 stable. The only issue is the fan noise. As soon as you go past 50 ish % it sounds like a bloody hair dryer
    on constantly.

I'd love to see some Firestrike scores for these oc'd 970s. I'll post mine this evening.

I got a new 970 ssc last week and I was checking it out real quick in 3dmark that night. Wanted to see if it was ok or not. I set the power target up to 115% ( stock voltage ) the core to +117 and memory +150 and got this score in Firestrike   http://www.3dmark.com/fs/5686913

I paired it with another ...2x SLI  pt at 115% (again stock voltage ) I think the core was around +104 or maybe a little higher and memory at +200 and scored    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/5687303   They seem to scale, in SLI, real well in 3dmark. Temps never got over 60c. I'm sure if I'd spent some more time benching the scores would be higher but I got them to game and fold and they're doing almost 300k ppd each ( as long as I'm not seeing any core 15s).

I'm pretty happy with the gaming  and folding performance with what I paid for them, a lot of bang for the buck!!!!

    Hi all,

Started overclocking my 970 sc acx 2.0 some time ago. Boosting 1317 out of the box, I can't seem to get it past 1400, which to me seems low compared to other overclocks online. Any advise?

Right now I get a fairly stable core overlock at 1387 (+70) and 4001 (+500) memory clock, with 110% power with a 91 degree targer. Running with EVGA precision X. The GPU doesn't get warmer than 61 degree under load.
Tried with 0 memory overclock but that does not contribute in being able to get a higher core clock. Am I just unlucky or does anyone have an idea to help me get higher stable overlclocks? I must say that I have not touched voltage yet.

Edit: I'm now running Valley and there is this weird thing I just noticed: Like I said, I put my overclock to 1387, which is also what GPU-Z and EVGA Precision X are showing, but Valley is telling me that GPU core clock is 1576 MHz?!. Furthermore, the temperature, FPS and memory clock are consistant in all 3 programs. How come?

1454 on the core seems well within the ball park of what to expect for a decent overclock with no added voltage. Feel good, as my buddy has the same card and couldn't even hit 1350! Like other have said try maybe 110-115% on power target, create a custom fan profile to keep that thing cool and see how your results play out.

Same here, My 970 SC does not go past 1400 MHz (gpu-z). Project cars started crashing so I moved bit down to 1390 Mhz. I use games to test If its stable overclock.

And My card does not like toi much memory overclock. It stars crashing My games at like +100 memory.
