So yesterday i decided to go ahead and purchase the out of stock g1 970's for 369$, came on today and it looks like they increased the price to 469$! Since i already had mine ordered before the price increase will they still sell them to me for the original price or are they gonna charge me extra? On my orders it currently says:

Not yet shipped

"Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date."

They have the total being 739$. (i bought 2) They haven't charged me for either one cause they only charge when the order is shipped, i just hope i don't get screwed out of 200$...

I'm thinking that when places like amazon get a shipment, they keep 10% of them aside, and the rest go to those who preordered. The 10% are marked up if you didn't preorder, and want the luxury of having it now. You might have "missed" the preorder batch, and they have you waiting for the next one, or you can pay the extra and get them right away.

This is all speculation, and I have no clue if this is how it actually works

They should give them to you for the listed price at the time of the actual order placed which was $369.
Since they have the total being $739 you will get them for the $369

Oh okay, yeah that makes sense. I was wondering why they still had the ones listed for 469 in stock, had me thinking if they have them in stock why don't they ship me one instead of telling me they're out of stock on my order?! Guess there holding on to 10% to those that want them right away, Kinda messed up they're doing that.

You should notice that the 469 isn't the price from Amazon.  What happens is, Amazon is out of stock, but one of their other marketplace sellers has it in.  So amazon shows you the lowest, in stock, price when you go to that product page.  If you click the "other sellers on amazon" link you can see that the listing from Amazon themselves is still 369, it's just out of stock.

Yes, this happens every new release. Some jerk buys all the video cards, and then sells them at an inflated price. Please please please for the love of God do not support these weasels. Wait for the cards to come in stock at EVGA or one of their authorized resellers that buys cards directly from EVGA.

There are still brand new GTX 680s on ebay for $700 that will never sell at that price. It makes me happy to believe that they were trying to jack up the prices 2 years ago, and nobody bit and they have to eat that loss.
