I haven't personally used any of the boards you mention other than the Dark so I can't/won't offer an opinion.  That said, the Dark has been a solid board for me for just over a year now (since released).  Especially since BIOS revision 2.10 was released.

Get the RIVBE , its the best on the market.
Its a pain with EVGA RMA in Taiwan. I have heard Asus , gigabyte offer better support .
So you should change your choice.

Hello everone and thank you for your inputs and thoughts. I decided to pick up a nice secondhand EVGA x79 DARK along with nateman_doo s awesome looking waterblocks. 

I promise to upload some pics and some scores when the build is done along with a personal review of the DARK and nate's water blocks!

Thanks for the feedback guys, unfortunately I can't enjoy this system fully until I can afford my new case ( caselabs magnum SMA8 ) and some acrylic tubing plus water blocks for my classifieds so I can enjoy the oc capability their hosting.. And some other stuff to make it work and look perfect, But I will most certainly smack everything together in my 800D and enjoy it as much as I can until I can afford all that 

Alright folks everything is done and done!
Pc is up and running and it's working flawlessly! I will do a sort of pros and cons, thoughts and conclusions list about the DARK and also some benchmarks later on today but lets start with my personal user experience with the DARK board.



First of you get a ton of things with and thats always nice since you never know what you will need or how many and so on only problem was i didn't get a flexible sli bridge so i couldn't sli my GTX 780s so I had to pick up one from a friend.. Don't know if it should come with one or if the person i bought it from forgot to include it but that was a small problem but with a negotiable outcome.
So my first out of the box thought was do** it looks good and it feels like it was pure hitec stuff with it heaviness and the extra thick pcb. But there was two problems to start of with, One pin to the evga gauge was a little bent but i gently bend it back and the onboard reset button was stuck in its upper position and i just had to push it first thing i did when i took it out of the box so I stuck it in its lower position and had do gently lift it up with a needle.. lost a some color on it but nothing serious you can't really see it so its all good since it's a used board I can't ask for more that I got cuz it works like new looks like new so all that is nothing to me actually but here is some problems i ran into which i'm not cool with :
 

First pci lane is to far up so if there were clips on the lower part of the dimm slots they would interfere with the slot just like is does on the X99 classified but my board doesn't have does clips so no sweat. How ever when i was to install the aluminum cover for the usb hubs and lan hubs on the board i ran in to the same issue the pci lane is to far up or someone didn't properly measure the spacing between the aluminum brackets lower seating point and the pci slot since i could for the love of god fit my GTX 780 classified with backplate in that slot while the aluminum bracket was installed so i had to uninstall it and bend the lower part of it inwards/upwards 0.03mm to make it fit just so much for it came out of line for the lower seating point and that's not cool, You shouldn't have to do such a getto mod on a €339 motherboard so that is a miss by EVGA.. I mean I should be able to fit evga parts with evga parts right? And i could not use the chipset block from nateman doo since i did not have enough fittings of the right kinde so thats a shame.. But i do however use the vrm block and it does it's job belive me ( never seen the vrm temp go above 36 degrees celcious ). I did not have enough fittings to make it perfect between the cpu block and the vrm block either but it looks good enought for now!


When it comes to computing I have nothing to say then it's a tank! I use the 2.10 bios and its rocksolid no problems at all so far and the cpu is performing like a god i mean it handles 2400 mhz ram on 1.1v vsa/vcaa and uses 1.164 ( + - 10 mV ) core volt at stock speed. I don't really know what else to say here I havent ben using it for more than a day so I guess I'll post back in a week or so and tell you guys more what i thing of it.
I will post some pics and scores later on today ( I think ).


P.s Good job EVGA it's a good board but there is some thing you could make better in the future on the X series board but all in all it's a masterpiece so far!

The Dark is a nice board.. it made up for some of the failings of the other X79 boards lol. I also have an ASUS RIVF (now on my wife's rig) but I prefer the EVGA Dark. You're getting some nice results there Duke. I should probably up my ram, but it's so damn expensive these days!
