This is the second attack this week where Canadian soldiers were targeted domestically.

Nope. One gunman is dead. Apparently there is at least one more shooter at large, possibly 2. I would be interested to know if this has anything to do with Canada recently joining the fight against the Islamic State. After it was announced an IS spokesman said there would be consequences for anyone fighting them.

That's some crazy stuff, glad one of them was put down. Sounds like he had easy access to an important area...

There were ant amazing number of guns shots fired in that video.  Would seem that any ally of America seems to be a target.  Not sure why there is so much violence but it seems that these folks today are to quick top resort to using guns.  I would not be surprised if this was a brain washed Canadian that was sympathetic to the cause of these radicals.  It seems they like to use the people from the country they attack and then turn them into these ranging martyrs.  Most-likely Canada has supported these folks but they still feel that they hate the people even though they are generous.  Some manipulative things can be done to a weak mind.

I take anything that involves the govt with a grain of skepticism salt, no matter where that govt is. That's def a ultra stupid place to make a statement cause your def gonna die. On the other hand, its great for a false flag skirmish to gain sympathy for the next wave of restrictive laws, amendments etc.... that come down the pike. What will be most interesting is to see how they mash this and the ebola stuff to together to restrict movement of everyone. Im pretty sure ISIS is a alphabet agency creation also since the words al-Qaida don't scare anyone anymore and we need to always have a threat to defend against and to get those research, military, etc.... dollars. Canadians have already been caught on film inciting riots at peaceful demonstrations using police wrapped up like protesters, so I wouldn't put it past them to concoct something like this.

I am curious what an investigation is going to show. Is it radicals? Is it hate-mongers?

Does it matter? Motive is rather irrelevant if you've got people shooting at you. Besides, aren't radicals hate-mongers? So much stock being put into labels is what is wrong with society. Labels give undue power to things. The terrorist label instantly gives whoever is labeled the power to incite irrational public fear. You're more likely to be struck by lightning than to be killed by some idiot religious zealot with military grade weapons.

This suck, but ISIS is going down. Glad to see Canada isn't a wussy country allowing innocent people to die by the hands of these thugs.

    lol but poor taste.

Sucks that the soldier passed away, but I am glad they nailed the gunman. Only one kind of coward would attack a unarmed soldier. (unarmed because the drill rifle is unloaded for safety reasons).

I have read on some of their gun laws lightly, they seem to be slightly more controlled then most of america but not banned as much as california for example. Things like ar15s can still be bought. They have meet a haopy middle for the most part, my friends in canada say, and there doesnt seem to be as much of a debate.

Correct. I have 4 guns including 2 handguns. Getting my restricted license wasn't too bad of an ordeal at all. There is a very thorough background check before you get a license. Still, bad guys just go buy illegal black market guns out of the back of a van.

And this is why I started a petition.

    https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/make-nj-shall-issue-state-concealed-carry-firearms/kyWxyskp

Our state residents don't have the protection that 90% of the other states have.  But nonetheless I still applied for my CCW in Jersey.  I will let you know how that turns out.
