more then likely Free upgrade to windows 8/8.1 users such as my self considering windows 8.1 was a free upgrade to windows 8 users and there is no ultimate edition version as Pro is the current top end windows 8.1 version.

According to present 'rumors' the upgrade will be free to Windows 8.1 users. Price remains unknown for OEMs at this time. The O/S is stable so the only thing Microsoft will do between now and release is bug fixing and add additional features.

I got a notification while running W10 that last night about this new build. Took awhile to complete the update, but working fine so far. I haven't really dug into it yet to see what differences there are.

There were even rumors that the upgrade for Windows 7 users would be something like $39.99. Will wait and see

To pacify the masses a low cost upgrade would be very important for Microsoft.
