Re: PrecisionX 5.2.3 Released 2014/10/17 01:45:53 (permalink)
I am finding this software so so so so confusing!!

Why show voltage in the software if it never shows even remotely close to what volts are running through the card.
I have an updated BIOS which has a default voltage of 1.212 which is higher than the stock 1.150. At default settings the precision software will show this all fine. However the moment I change anything it will revert back to 1.150 or at least show this in the software.

Why does it sometimes show the default 1.212 as overvolted (the overvolt slider is where it would be at 1.212 volts) and other times it shows +0mv. Why does the software NEVER show above 1.212 regardless??

I think it's crazy to release an overclockers card (the 780 classified which i own) but not allow your software to measure the voltage even sightly reliably.

Please sort this. I'm happy to go back to the stock LN2 bios if that's going to be an issue but i just want at least mildly reliable readings from my card and don't feel every overclocker should have to own a multimeter unless they're into hardcore benching/overclocking

I installed evga precision 5.2.3
I have 3x GTX 780 3-Way SLI.
Setting the overvoltage lives its own life and work as he wants.
Without overvoltage I 1012mv 980MHz (default), as I turn the voltage overvoltage jumps on 1156mv! From this value until I can raise them. But how do I set 1025mv if value begins with 1156mv??

The second issue.
When switching profiles between 2D and 3D return to the set voltage jump higher! Sometimes about 18mV! Surely this could damage the card!
Why such a half-baked program available over EVGA?!
As soon as you amend your voltage regulation but the 780 series cards.

MAIN ISSUES:
Operating System Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit. Using an EVGA 980 SC reference model, 2 x 1080p 120hz monitors in extended desktop.
Windows explorer crashes upon exit of some games ( Divinity Original Sin).
Skype shuts down upon exit of some games.
Divinity Original Sin has major mouse cursor issues like disappearing  and icons getting stuck
Nvidia DSR seems to not work very well with 5.2.3, Divinity Original sin crashes and has cursor problems frequently when using DSR
If I use windows media player (even with it blocked in the evga server) it will cause issues in firefox and task manager. parts of the GUI disappear in task manager.

Edit: I've reverted back to using 4.2.1 as it is very stable with no problems. I used my 780 Ti on 4.2.1 too.

So I haven't read this thread, I apologize if this has already been answered: I have had Precision X 4.2.1 for a long time with no issues. I tried both 5.2.0 and 5.2.3 and they both cause SERIOUS input lag with BF4 and BF3 only. Not sure if it's an origin thing but I reverted back to 4.2.1 and all is fine. Am I the only one with this issue?

Interestingly, this build  works 100% for me : I can even better  correct the voltage bug  and  downclock the upper  GTX 980  by 30Mhz and  achieve the similar OC,  voltage   when running  the EVGA 980 SLI than with  MSI  Afterburner.

Garbage! No k-boost functionality....no offset tuning capability for Sli.....my top card gets stuck at default clocks no matter what I set the overclock to.....the only function that does work=fan profile........GJ Evga
Glad I didnt buy a 900 series card, because I would be stuck using AB, which also DOES NOT HAVE K-BOOST or OVER VOLTAGE settings......
Thank god for Legacy PrecisionX(4.2.1 everything works fine)
