The machine that started it all is on its way to its new home in EVGA land.  This machine has seen it all from the very first SR2 & X58 Micro blocks, to the ASRock Extreme 11 waterblocks (and countless projects in between).  She started off life as a manual machine with a 7" x 3" work envelope  that grew into a CNC with an 12 x 8 work envelope.

She has made her poppa proud, and I wish her the best of luck in her new home!

Ah, quite the milestone.  At least there's no milling about for that one.

It'll have a new home in my shop Friday. I see flight and racing simulator parts in it's future.

Yep, it'll be handy to use my CAD/CAM/CNC machining skills in my own shop now. We were working together on another CNC project when this option came up awhile back and I went for it.

I can't wait to see the sick parts that come from it now.  You are way more creative that I am.

Sad to see it leave.  But glad ti is going to a good home.  So is it now starting Blockman Brad Industries?
I am interested in seeing what you make for the flight sim area.

GRATS BRAD!  Make the old CNC proud.

They called this morning and they scheduled a delivery for tomorrow. Not used to FedEx calling me before a delivery. Must be a freight thing.

Yeah, This happened to me with UPS Freight... I had a delivery date on a Friday, They called me and arranged delivery for Monday.... So the date they give you is the date they will CALL you to arrange delivery... Weird huh?

Gotta interface the stepper motors to a pc, fabricate a new stand for it and wire it up again with a new PSU. Should be cutting chips in December though.

A Porsche Brad?! really?!  Must be nice ;)

I am just glad they didn't try to hose you for the rest.  It was over 100 lbs more then what i claimed.  Glad we elevated it though and got them to honor the old claim.  Since all the extra weight of the tool plate, and the other cross slide vise didn't help.

Yep, you see the go-kart. The thing really is a PITA to sit down in. Feels like you're sitting on the ground. It's fun to drive though.

Yep, no issues other than the two that delivered it were freaking out about the F-84F in the back yard. They had me open up the cockpit and nose around it for 15 minutes instead of unloading. *chuckle*
