So I have an old PC laying around I am contemplating using for folding. It has a Phenom II x4 @2.8 GHz, 4 GB of DDR2 ram and I am going put my GTX 680 I just replaced from my main rig in there. This machine will be dedicated just to folding.

Would this setup be good enough to get the 10 EVGA bucks a month offered?

Thanks

Yes, providing FAH(Stanford) sends out the optimal work units for your system. If it's a dedicated machine you'll make it with ease.

Just remember you need to fold 10 WU's first to prove the viability of your machine.  Then you get the bonus points.  Do not be disappointed when the first ten are lower than expected.  It's the way Stanford does things.

I think it's a worthwhile cause whether you earn evga bucks or not and a great way to re-purpose old hardware.  Welcome aboard!
