Curious about the USB 3.0 header on the board.  My Thermaltake Overseer RX-1 has a USB 3.0 connector with 19 pins.  According to the diagrams of the FTW, it seems smaller.  Can anyone shed some light.  I want to install the board in my existing case...but only if the USB 3.0 header matches up.

I have a Corsair HX850 PSU on my current build.  I see no reason it wouldn't work with the i7 5820 / X99 FTW and 16 GB of DDR4.  Nothing else in the system will change at the present time.  Feedback appreciated.

One more thing.  Is there really an issue with the X99 boards and SoundBlaster Z?

Thanks

Bob

The USB 3 ports and headers are all using standard connections, nothing outside of normal.

My Z's running and sounding amazing in the x4 PCI-E slot 5 for several days now.

Sound quality blows away both my, still running, 11 year old Audigy 2 ZS and 9 year old X-Fi Titanium.

    What issues are people having?

I read where there was some skipping sound and even no sound with the Asus soundcards...

All in all...I am thinking of 5820 with DDR4-2666 memory and the FTW in the very near future to replace my 3770K

Many people try to convince me to buy ASUS Xonar DX instead of Sound Blaster Z.
But I recognized on net post of people who know lot about sound quality talk nice thing about Sound Blaster Z.
Most ASUS Fans try to compare with Recon3D, but Sound Blaster Z is something else completely and I don't know what they change but everybody say that's completely different thing. For my opinion best card up to 100$ is Sound Blaster Z. Only flaw 5.1 System MAX.

And that's my thinking too i7-5820K to replace i7-3770K, only to give me two more cores and new standard.
DDR4 Memory offer is still poor. No Mushkin, No Patriot, TridentX... I love Dominator and Mushkin but this year I even saw as Interesting
CRUCIAL Balistix Elite... They are probably nice choice for FTW or Classified... Micron is strong manufacturer from Idaho, USA.
30 years on market. EVGA offer their Sport line with boards, that mean CRUCIAL work good with EVGA Boards.

    And look nice but expensive...
