Oh the new Thief game is garbage.  100% consolized - super linear and lacks the unique, creepy atmosphere of the originals.  The mechanics are all contextualized; there's no jump button, you can only climb certain specific ledges.  You can only use rope arrows at certain specific contextual places.  You can only open certain, specific windows.  Everything is contextual and there's almost no actual freedom or creativity, especially compared to the classics (first two).  This image sums it up.

That's a good start on the list.  Still plenty more that I play from time to time, just can't think of them off the top of my head since I'm not back at home.  And yes, I do play all of these games still, and quite a bit.  I probably play old games more than I play new games (except Battlefield games).  Not too many new games that I go back and play.

Very surprising that you listed all Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games.  There are substantial differences between the early ones and newer ones, most people will prefer one or the other.  Rainbow Six 3 is a million times better than the newer ones (Vegas series) in my opinion.  Vegas is just a shooter while Rainbow Six 3 is a tactical shooter + strategy game in one.  
 
I'm not sure if Assassin's Creed or Batman qualify as RPGs.  Especially Batman.  Unlocking new abilities doesn't make a game an RPG.
