Hi I have the 980 SC and some problems with the HDMI connection.

My TV is a Samsung 75 inch 4k which supports HDMI 2.0.

I activated the Uhd color option for 60 Hz 4k but it doesnt work all the time. If i turn off the TV and back on, it gets no signal Form the PC. Then i have to replug the hdmi cable for it to work.
It also gets no signal when switching between HDMI inputs and sometimes it works but have no audio over hdmi, even though it shows my TV as audio device in nvidia settings.

So i often habe to restart my PC several times to get 60hz and audio. Is it possible that my 980 has a faulty HDMI port??
4k worked great on the same TV with a GTX 780 ti.

I made a topic about this with potential solutions.
I had the same problems on my samsung and Samsung support is garbage.

    Try this:
    http://forums.evga.com/Wh...ead-this-m2224462.aspx

Besides enabling UHD colors on Samsung TV's.
You should reset factory defaults on it first.
After you have reset factory defaults and turned UHD colors on and done all your fine tuning again.
Then try doing what was causing you a loss of signal.
It may take up to 30 seconds literally, before the "no input" message goes away and the screen comes on.
    So wait for it.

I'd switch hdmi ports and same deal. blackscreen.
Reset fixed it but it takes way too long for the screen to come on still with that message on it. It may make you think it's not working, but just wait for it.
Samsung definitely needs a firmware update.
The default pin number for factory reset should be 0000

Thanks, I have seen your thread.
I did the factory reset yesterday and turned uhd color on.
Sadly I still have the same Problem. Sometimes it works and the next time the no signal text comes again. Or I have no sound
Very weird. On my 4k monitor with display port it works perfektly. Maybe a newer driver Form nvidia can fix this

ahh, sorry to hear that. Try giving it 30 seconds before you give up on the signal.
30 full seconds, after the system has fully booted or after switching HDMI ports.

I'm going to assume you have automatic firm ware updates on and have the latest version installed. If not, get that then do another factory reset.
    Otherwise it's samsung support.
Which is a shot in the dark.

It's almost definitely not the gpu though. Don't let samsung sell you that load of crap.
    It's their firmware.

It's really not the cards fault I think.
so far every single time Samsung has tried to blame my gpu.
I have proved to them it is their system.
I'll have like 6 completely clueless tech people tell me "oh that's not supported or oh that's not compatible"Then I tell them exactly how stupid they are and to transfer me.
Then I fix the problem, which is always due to their crap firmware.
They need a firmware update and we'd be fine.

I hope that helps ya though. gl
