I just updated to x16 and now my gpu clock never downclocks below 1045 and my voltage never goes below 1212. I run a flashed bios but under the old prec  it would still downclock at idle. Now my system run hotter cus it never downclocks. Can I fix this or better yet can I download the old prec!

This post belongs in the evga software section of this forum.

Which version of precision are you using?

K-boost being stuck on is a known bug with at least some of the lastest versions and is something EVGA is working on.

Also, which bios are you using?

Don't even pay any attention to the voltage that precision displays. Software can not read the voltage properly. Of you aren't checking with a digital multimeter, you are probably getting incorrect voltages.

Apologies for the wrong forum, I never go to the software forum, I only look here for advise, mea culpa. Precx 16 5.2.2. the bios  is the skyn3t bios for the 780ti sc. I guess I should have looked into it closer, if I had known there were bugs and especially if I had known I could not get the older ver back I would never have downloaded 16. Is there a time line on when a working ver of this download will be available, honestly, after everything that happened w 15 you would think they would get it right w 16 or what is the point of even putting it out?

While this is true, software can be used for a ballpark number you shouldn't just go arounds saying "All software is completely wrong don't even look at it" it is accurate to a certain degree and that's why they include it

But back to the point of the thread. Is there any way to fix, get around and or replace the prec?

Try a reinstallation, when uninstalling remember to say no when asked to save profiles, and when installing remember to check the box that says perform a clean install

Here is a workaround...

Here is how to force the card to idle & force them back into performance mode.

#1 Download NVIDIA Inspector & WinRAR to desktop. Install WinRAR First.
http://download.orbmu2k.de/download.php?id=51
http://www.rarlab.com/rar/winrar-x64-420.exe

#2 Install NVIDIA Inspector.
- Right click on NvidiaInspector.zip on the desktop and select "Extract files...", Extract to Destination Path "C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiaInspector" without quotes.
- Press OK to start the extraction.

#3 Create Idle & Boost .bat files for Nvidia Inspector. (These two .bat files will allow you to force idle your GPU's or set it them back to Max Performance as needed.)
- Open 2x Notepad (Click Start and type in Notepad and hit Enter.) <<Do this twice.
- Copy and Paste this... "C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe" -forcepstate:0,8 into your first Notepad, Save AS... Idle.bat and save to Desktop.
- Copy and Paste this... "C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe" -forcepstate:0,16 into your second Notepad, Save AS... Boost.bat and save to Desktop.

Once you have created the above .bat files just double click on them and watch your card Idle or go back into Max Performance Mode as needed inside precision x or afterburner.

"Try a reinstallation, when uninstalling remember to say no when asked to save profiles, and when installing remember to check the box that says perform a clean install". I tried that first, I went back to the last whql drivers as well, but thank you for the advice. Sajin, im sure that will work, I copied that from you earlier to get better results from benchmark( my card kept downclocking in Valley) and this worked like a charm, I had just hoped that there was a way to get the same performance that I had in precx w\o having to resort hacks, but again thank you for the tip!
