Greetings. I just received 2 EVGA 780s (6 gig SC ACX) and I am unable to SLI them. One is brand new, one is lightly used, and comes from reputable seller. Both cards are active (NVidia control panel lists both), and both cards can drive displays but there is no SLI option. I've been successfully running 2 760s in SLI with success previously, using the same SLI bridge in the same rig, so I know the bridge is fine. I can run displays from either 780, so each card appears fine. Man, I got these to SLI. Could different BIOS versions make a difference? One card has a slightly newer bios than the other Update: GPU-Z says SLI is disabled (as expected.)

Update: The used card according to GPU-Z was released 2013 (obviously cant be right) and has bios 80:80:45:00:80 (P2083-0021) whereas the new one has 80:80:58:00:82 (P2083-0025). The only other difference is the older card has Samsung GDDR5 and the newer one Hynix, but all else is exactly the same.

Anyone have any ideas? All cards are seated properly, as is the SLI bridge (which came with the ASUS motherboard)

My rig:

I7-4770K 3.9ghz
16 gig 1866mhz
ASUS Maximus Hero VI
EVGA Supernova 1000W
Win 8.1 64

Your help is appreciated.

Hmm, sorry I can't answer your question. My 780 6GB are identical in GPU-Z....both March 25, 2014 release, both Hynix memory, both -0025 BIOS.

I'm sorry your cards are not working in SLI together. Could you please contact support either by email at support@evga.com or call us at 888-881-3842,and we can get you a replacement card so they will run in SLI together. There is some information we'll need from the card you wish to keep:

CID number, the BIOS number, and Device ID off the back of the card
the PCB revision off the front of the card's PCIe tab.

Get us this information and we'll get you taken care of. Again I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi, I am currently having the same issue as the OP trying to SLI two gtx 780 6gb cards.  One is bios 80:80:45:00:80 (P2083-0021) with Samsung memory (older card) and the other is on bios 80:80:58:00:82 (P2083-0025) with Hynix memory.

    I've tried multiple sli bridges
    clean install of the drivers
    reseating both cards
switching the pcie slots for the cards
    updating mobo bios
    etc...

No other PCie slots are occupied

    My specs are:

    I7-4930K 3.9ghz
    32 gb 1866mhz ram
    ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition
    Rosewill Lightning 1300W
    Windows 7 64-bit

I'm not comfortable with running windows in test mode constantly.
