BIOS 1.07 Updates
  • Fix system halt with incorrect FIVR setting
  • Improve memory compatibility
  • Support CPU ratio with auto voltage table
  • Improve USB compatibility

Windows Installation
  • Download the correct .zip file below for your motherboard:
         151-HE-E999-KR - EVGA X99 Classified
         150-HE-E997-KR - EVGA X99 FTW
         131-HE-E995-KR - EVGA X99 Micro
  • First go into your BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
  • Close all open programs.
  • Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and update.bat
  • Press Y to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
  • After the flashing is finished, the system will automatically shut down. Then power on again and go into BIOS to setup.
  • NOTE: If flash box immediately closes after flash attempt, the flash may need to be ran from a CMD prompt with administrator privileges or DOS version.

BIOS Installation
  • Extract the contents of .zip file to USB flash drive (must be formatted as FAT32)
  • Reboot the machine and go into the system BIOS
  • From the BIOS, navigate to the Save & Exit tab and open "Select BIOS File."
  • Select the .bin file you wish to flash.

    updated to BIOS 1.07

Still have issues with Graphics card PCI-E detection. Bios shows Gen.1 Windows event viewer shows this.

A corrected hardware error has occurred.
    Component: PCI Express Root Port
Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express)
    Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x2:0x0
    Vendor ID:Device ID: 0x8086:0x2f04
    Class Code: 0x30400
The details view of this entry contains further information.

Nvidia drivers stop responding, and I have random computer freeze issues. Sometimes system works for a few hours, sometimes its like 2 minutes. Not sure what to try. Any suggestions ? Everything is stock settings, using XMP profile 1 for RAM. Did a fresh install of windows 7 when I installed the board.

This bios hasn't accomplished anything as far as I'm concerned. Tried to run the my corsair memory at xmp 2800 and I blue screen and it overclocks the blk setting to 126 which overclocks my cpu to 4.0.  I cant seem to run my memory at 2800 while the blk is at 100.

also, still getting PCIe 3.0 errors (you know which thread is started), sound card won't be recognized unless i manually set it to pcie 2.0

This Bios 1.07 has not resolved any of my issues:

    1. I cannot run the Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum Series 16GB 2800MHz (CMD16GX4M4A2800C16) at 2800 by using the XMP or manually.
    2. PCIE in the Bios still says that I am running 1.0 and should be 2.0.
    3. Still have on-board creative sound issues (surround sound issues I guess)..still crack and static sound

BIOS 1.07 was built on 9/18/2014, I guess the 980s release put the x99 motherboard on the back burner??

First of All, I must acknowledge MANY Thanks for All the Hard Work at the Staff of EVGA in Solving This particular BIOS Problem!

After Consulting last night and being contacted by Jacob who has sent me a Few Special BETA BIOS's to try out, But that have NOT BEEN OFFICIALLY RELEASED Due to ongoing Testing with the Techs at EVGA, I am Happy to report I have found one that works and FINALLY have been able to Enable 4-Way SLI using four EVGA 980 SC's on my EVGA X99 Classified Motherboard!

I Do Not know When EVGA will Officially Release this Updated BIOS as of Yet, But I am Sure it will be available soon.

Here is a Bench on 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme using 4-Way SLI with four EVGA GTX 980 SC's on my EVGA X99 Classified at Factory Stock Settings.

That's sick! Glad to hear EVGA personally helped you out! From reading through the forums I knew you were having some issues. I wanted to get 3 980's as I am currently running 2 "original" gtx titans (still like that it has 6gb of vram). Unfortunately I am not made of money and dropped roughly $1500 to upgrade to x99 coming from and AMD FX-8350 that I had been using for a couple of years. So upgrading GPU's was out of the question. I'll wait until the next generations of cards to come out, that way I can buy 4 hydrocopper cards and put them in my loop. How do you like the 980's by the way?

I have only run just a few benches with the 980's so far using Windows 7 64, But it's going to take me awhile to straighten out the mess I have made on my Rig before I will do anymore testing.
Other than that, I'm just Glad they finally work in 4-Way SLI on my X99 Classified!

I start getting weird issues with keyboard I cant log in to bios unless I switch Keyboard USB, then it works for just one time. If I want log in to the bios again I have to switch usb port again, it is really annoying.

Just noticed while going through BIOS 1.07 there is maybe a typo under Advanced/CPU Configuration/Intel(R) Virtualization Technology.  The description for this says "Hardware based viurtualization which allows..."

    Shouldn't it be "virtualization"?

I don't care if one word is misspelled in a bios, as long as the bios works properly.  That word won't make the memory work any better, lol.  That is a good catch though, and once the BIOS is working properly and up to full speed, All will be well.

    hello guys,
I have x99 FTW and I have a problem with my soundcard asus xonar dx. It seems to be installed, but it doesn't work, no sound. The problem is known( I red it on other forums). It's an issue of x99 I suppose(a red about other soundcards, on other motherboards). Enterin the sleep mode and wake up again solve partially the problem(I have 5.1 sound system, but 2 satelites don't work). Is there a BIOS on the way to solve this problem?
    Thank you

Depending on the PCI lane it is in, I think this is a known issue they are currently working on fixing the issue.  Unfortunately, it is going to take some patience as they work on it. :-(

Any news on the next update trying to get 3 way SLI to work with 3 980sc. Bios show three but no go in windows.
    X99 Classy with a I7-5930k.

Edit: got it to work just had to reset to defaults, then go back in and but all my settings in. Got it to work after setting pcie to gen 3 on the three slots.
