I still dont know why this happened, i reformatted days ago hope there are no errors left
Northbridge is now at 86-89c it was 108c.....This is the 3rd time i reapply the thermal, my northbridge was always very hot from when mobo was new...I also attatched a ram fan to make more air in that area...
My problem was solved by gregrockers info, but I would like to know why it happened and was my northbridge temps causing recent system restarts and gpu driver crashes?
GregRocker from 7forums archived thread
http://www.sevenforums.co...-operating-system.htmlMark Windows 7 or it's 100mb System Reserved partition (preferred if you have it) Active, boot the Windows 7 DVD System Recovery Options or System Repair Disk, click through to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots.
To Mark Partition Active press Shift F10 at first screen when booting DVD or Repair CD, or choose Command Line from Repair Console's Recov Tools list, type:
DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (confirm from list this is Windows 7 HD #)
LIST PARTITION
SELECT PARTITION # (replace # with Windows 7 part #)
ACTIVE
EXIT
Now return to Recov Tools list to run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times with reboots to write MBR to Windows 7.
If this fails everything possible that can be done is here for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.
