When ordering the second 780 for my build, I forgot that I had ordered the FTW version first, because of how long ago it had been. I was curious as to whether or not it would work, despite the different clock rates and models. Thanks for any useful information.

As long as the CUDA cores & VRAM match you should be fine.

ive im right, yes it will work ,but the card will work at the speed of the  slowest card ..what you can do is overclock the slowest card to the speeds of the ftw.test it out that the card can do the speeds you will be good...

my overclocked 780 ftw beats a stock classie..my lastbench score a few days a go was 40112 3dmark11 and 9703 firestrike.

Sorry it took so long, I actually had to send back a defective card and get another, and it did end up working, thanks for the help.
