first off just to clarify I ran the flasher with UEFI bios for the card, said it removed old flash, storing... .... ... then the window closes. thats it?

how to check via cmd if the card updated or not?

for OC'ing, I know that this 660 in particular does pretty well, any overvolting needed to keep a sustained 1.2?

I'm mostly a noob at this, I never mess with voltages, so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

cheers.

You can check and see if the card updated to the newer BIOS by running GPU-Z and checking the BIOS version number.

Next time, open the command prompt manually and then manually type in the executable's path and file name. If you just double-click the executable file in Windows, it will open the command prompt, execute it, and close the command prompt when the executable is finished and therefore you will not see the success or failure message at the end.

It seems like the days of users understanding DOS are rapidly reaching their end. Perhaps the application designers should start adding a pause before application termination as a matter of habit.

upon launching in cmd it just opens the updater in another window, and same issue.

I did quickly glance "successful" before the window closed however, if thats any worth.

@ty_ger07 I'm not sure whether I should be puzzled or offended at the last bit of your comment, I didn't have much opportunity to tinker with DOS when growing up. only typing in file paths to play retro games, thats it.
