Hello fellow EVGA forum members,
I recently bought my lovely gt70 Dominator-895, the thing is pretty fast and I got it for 1299$!
I found that the refresh rate of the monitor is 60.02hz in dxdiag, I have another laptop "MSI ge40" which has 60.000hz, which seems just a miniscule-bit smoother "although both of them get to solid 60 fps", does that tiny 0.020 hertz affect the smoothness?, don't get me wrong, it is silky smooth, but the ge40 is a little bit smoother "although with ultra settings it achieves 36 fps avg."
in both tests I enabled vsync and disabled it to see if any difference is noticeable with over 60 fps.
ToastyX's super helpful tool "CRU" helped me so much fixing up that dell st2420l, but is it possible to change the refresh rate from 60.02hz to 60hz on a laptop?
I heard that it is impossible to do on intel & NVidia combo laptops, is it true?
Thank you for reading this thread, any help would be greatly appreciated.
