So I just put an order for my first very own pair of speakers! No more borrowing my roommates iPanda haha Here are the speakers I am receiving monday!! http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/product/7321?crid=47 Life story of my headphone life Pretty much my whole life I've owned either earbuds or headphones/headsets. I am a little bass-phile lol if that's a thing. I love the feel of heavy bass. Explains why my first pair of headphones that I ever got was the Sony MDR-XB700. Those were my headphones for about 3 years for PC haha Battlefield 3 open beta and release was extremely fun with those. I definitely felt the bullets pass my face Sold those (biggest mistake of my life) Bought Corsair Vengeance 1500 and last december gave them to my brother for half the price and got myself the Corsair Vengeance 1500 V2 Also last year bought the Sony MDR-XB920R (best mistake of my life, spending that $200 instead of food in university thus having to live with under a dollar and a negative balance on my debit card for about a month) Now I am finally upgrading to speakers because the gaming headset just doesn't cut the audio quality. Gaming however its a different story..

Oh man you'll love those. I have a pair hooked up for my entertainment system. I have their Z523 set hooked up to my pc though. Here's some advice. Be careful cause Logitech's speaker systems can definitely kick out some major bass.

Logitech makes good stuff. You'll like the fullness of sound that you get from a desktop speakers. I used a z5500 for years and it was nice but I have finally upgraded. The wattage on their subwoofer drivers is just not sufficient, I think it's set up so that you can't really blow them out. I have an 8" now with 250W and the bass is much tighter. It may not displace as much air as the bigger subs but it powers through even the lowest frequencies.

Logitech does make some pretty good stuff, but I would not count their speakers in that category. Sure, the can get loud and have a lot of bass, but they are not all that detailed and don't have the frequency range or realism of real speakers. Here is an example of a real speaker for about the same money or a little more. http://audioengineusa.com...wered-Desktop-Speakers

Agreed. Though I don't think Logitech makes many good products at all... maybe mice and budget wheels but that's about it. The Fostex PM0.4n should be an even better deal than the A2+, since it's compared favorably to the $400 A5+ often, and has more even frequency response (the Audioengines seem to have somewhat forced bass, though I'll hear them for myself soon).

Logitech is good for average consumers... audiophiles like myself need better stuff

You can definitely save a LOT just buying second hand speakers too. I got a pair of Paradigm Atom v.6 in perfect condition for $150 on eBay. IMO they sound better than the A5+. You just need to add an amp, but you can get a good amp for ~$50 as well as Paradigm speakers are very efficient and don't need much power.

Well so far from the first 3 - 4 weeks of using these speakers, I must say considering I never had speakers before, either crappy dollar store headphones, or 30$ headsets before I got my corsair vengeance 1500 then V2 and the sony mdr-xb700 I never really felt music that much. Now own corsair vengeance 1500v2 and a sony mdr-xb920r. headphones/headsets don't even come close to the quality of these speakers, i use these speakers for gaming, music movies, it just makes it feel more alive. for me personally, this was an amazing buy, i kinda annoy my roommate by putting up the bass, he can hear it down the hall shaking his light lol and then my other roommate under me, his ceiling shakes every drop last night I was playing some music on maybe 40-50% volume but max bass with windows open since it was hot inside my room and cold outside, next thing I know my roommate comes up to me all scared and stuff. I ask him what happened, he's like "cops came and im like what is wrong" they said it was a noise complaint from the neighbors, and the police officer was like "i can feel the bass from here...." it was a funny night

Nice, when you need gaming headphones look at the Logitech G35 surround sound headphones.

I have been using Logitech for years, their mice, keyboards and speaker systems are high quality. Matter of fact just last year after 4yrs I replaced my 5.1 surround X305 with a Z506 series and let me tell you.. I'm loving it. Personally prefer 5.1 vs 2.1 but that's my opinion. They'll treat you right as long as you respect them. Logitech as a whole has treated me very very well. Given I only buy Logitech now... and have strayed in the past.. never again. Almost all of my Logitech products have out lasted all other brands. I have an Optical CLICK! mouse from when Optical first broke into the scene and guess what? it STILL works flawless. G500 Laser mouse, I love it. G110 Keyboard, Awesome keyboard of its time. My laptop has a Logitech mouse with a 1500 DPI. Customer service and warranty support has been awesome. my G5 laser mouse had issues in the past and they replaced it without having a receipt twice. I personally cannot say anything wrong about Logitech.

I've got some logitechs that are very similar to that and since you love bass, you won't be disappointed as they shake my floor when I crank them up - probably doesn't make the neighbors too happy :D
