Hi
My BCLK Frequency under heavy load is often rising to 107MHz or dropping to 93MHz for a second or two several times.
Is this really normal behavior for this MB?

Lazy or not Lazy. That's not a question.

I've seen fluctuations by a couple tenth's, but nothing like what you describe.

What CPU are u running. Any OC( better put what is ur OC). That is quit a jump. I have seen them go down to 97ish but never over 101. This might be a bios issue. Also do u ever bsod or freeze up?

Have this kinds of up and downs even without OC and latest 1.06 BIOS.
4790K is the CPU and fully specs you will find in my ModsRigs sig =)
I havent had any kind of BSOD or anything like that, but it worries me a bit. Running stable at 4.8GHz but get over 5.1GHz when it spikes at 107MHz.
Have this readings from all types of monitoring softwares so it's not related to that.
AIDA64, OCCT, HwINFO, Intel XTU and more gives this jumps up and down.

Update: The up and downs in freq appears even in idle with no load at all.

I've been checking around and don't see this anywhere else. But with an OC like that it might not be a bad thing. Stupid question. Are u running prime for ~8 hrs at least. Also can to post screen shots of ur bios settings. Might be some clues in there.

Would love to see other users with this setup chime in but everybody is on the x99 and 900 vid card forums. Lol

I have never seen this personally.  I have clocked a few Z97/87s to about 4.6 and one to 4.8 and never seen fluctuations like this.
I know you have flashed the BIOs, have you tried one of the other BIOS's available from the BIOS switch to see if this is an oddity localized to a specific BIOS chip?

    Hi Dave
Thanks for your input but it's related to the monitoring software and Martin over at Hwinfo has confirmed this problem in the bug report section of the forum to others with similar problems. I tried to get this odd reading on BCLK in Intels Extrem Tuning Utility over two hours stability run but cant.
I started to use the latest beta 4.4.5 of Hwinfo and so far I cant get thoose odd readings there.

I havent had any problem related to this, so I will drop this as software related issue.
