About 50 minutes till launch with weather messing with the count down. 10% launch probability. My guess is they scrub it and reschedule, but I'll watch up til then. Nothing better to do atm.

Yep, NASA TV should be covering it starting around 9:30p ET. About an hour away from coverage.

What scares me is someone hired these people to report for NASA. Sure have a difference in the quality of media reps with the ISS and the unmanned missions.

Now here is my question of the evening: at some point, is there a camera on maven that is going to point to mars?  If not - im wasting my evening.  I stare at engineers all day, I don't need to do that at home.  That Mr Rogers talking head is killing me.

With around 20 light minutes of time involved depends on the frequency used to communicate with the probe, I doubt they'll get any more than delayed telemetry.

I can accept delays, i just want to know if they will point a camera at the planet.

20 bits per second data stream they said. No high gain antenna use.
