Hello, I think its pass time for my 560 1gb to get a upgrade. I do have one question about the 970/980 models. I love the 980 design, the way that it looks that the fins are a lot of cooling shown in this picture here:(I could be wrong)

The fan itself even seems a bit bigger.
Now looking at the 970:

It just look on first that maybe the fan in size is smaller ont he 970 and also, that it might get hotter. I hope I am making sense? anyway my question is, Do they have the same size fans? and also, do you think  both of them have a good cooling system? Does the 980 have a better cooling system cause  of it being of a higher quality? I was just hoping someone could explain how it works.

The 980 uses a vapor chamber cooler while the 970 doesn't. Yes, the vapor chamber cools better.

Oh ok thank you for clearing that up for me. Sadly the 980 is way over my budget. I have a full tower case with five fans so hopefully I won't see bad temps with the 970. Playing skyrim with heavy graphic mods my little 560 reaches 75c sometimes 77c. Hopefully that's only cause I'm over pushing it

Edit: not saying those are bad temps. I would just love if it stayed under 75 :p

The 980 uses a vapor chamber cooler while the 970 doesn't. Yes, the vapor chamber cools better.

the 980 does NOT use a vapor chamber. Nvidia made it look like the Titan cooler and so many people keep spreading that misinformation.

The heatsink no longer uses a vapor-chamber base, which, while it helps NVIDIA reduce cost, also reduces thermal capacity slightly.
