My gtx 650 ti boost looks more aesthetically pleasing for crying out loud. Coming from a long-time budget gamer, $330 is still top dollar. Come on evga! We're nerds! The aesthetics is half of it!

I have to say.. the new ACX coolers look pretty ugly compared to before. The 700 series ACX looks way more refined and premium. And what's up with the blue? *Shaking head*

+1 from here also for a 970 with the ref blower of the Titan and make it an FTW SKU. Not because of the looks but because of QUALITY.
Sure it would cost more to make but whatever? It's better quality. And people want quality. People would still buy it since they know that the Titan blower is way better.
Or if the fancy outer magnesium alloy shell and plexiglass window would make the SKU too expensive then at least give us the Titan blower innards.

Why can't u put the NVIDIA reference (looks like the Titan)970 cooler on the NVIDIA reference 970 PCB?

Will it be a Axc cooler for the 980 to buy seperatly? :)

right it has heatpipes...I think what were going after are the looks first then performance second. If the 980 does fine with the heat pipe heatsink the 970 will do fine too.

yes EVGA is crazy not to offer the 980 reference cooler for the 970. many people are going with 970 SLI setups and that cooler would be perfect. 

Was thinking of snagging a pair of 970s for my next build, but man that blower design is fugly.  The VHS tape comment is too kind.

EVGA should make the 970 have the nVidia reference design! That looks a lot better than the ACX or the blower style they made which looks pretty bad. I would buy the reference style and if I could, two for SLI.  Otherwise, I'll buy the nVidia card from somewhere else with the reference design, like at Best Buy.

As a owner of the Hadron case - a rear exhaust GPU is basically mandatory and I love my 770 w/Titan cooler.  I'd love a 970 with the same.

to be clear there is no such thing as a 970 reference cooler. the cooler you guys want is the 980 reference cooler. 

 
I disagree, unless you can support that with at least conflicting information from nvidia. I want the 970 reference cooler as shown on nvidia.com.  It is commonly called the NVTTM cooler.  It can be found at this link here (or nvidia dot com under the GTX 970 if this url is blocked):
 
I also attached a screenshot of the page in case the url is blocked.  I think the point is worthless though, since EVGA used a custom PCB and switched out some components for more economical alternatives (such as the voltage regulator).
