Newegg has had them in stock for a while now. Still don't understand why the Evga store still is out of stock for so many months now. :/

EVGA store has only had them in stock one time, and that was when they were first released. You only bet is to buy them through the egg.

I was wondering the same thing. I gave up and just bought the 3GB SC. I wanted to do the same thing with the EVGA bucks so I couldn't just get it from Newegg.

I understand. Funny thing is, when I am set on getting one particular thing, I don't give up on it very easily. Waiting isn't easy though.

XrayMan I told you, you should use one GTX780 Ti Classified and play until Q2/Q3 2015 before Titan II show up and than upgrade. But you decide to wait GTX780Ti 6GB as many people. There are enough nice games on market for playing under 3GB even on 1440p. And performance difference between GTX780Ti and GTX780 is very visible in everything as Far Cry 3 or if game require more GPU power. Count in that and about 10% more performance than reference GTX780Ti because 1020MHz base clock. But if you want only SLI not single than situation is different and GTX780 6GB SLI is really nice long term option.

Yes Vlada I know you told me, but I still decided to wait. I could have got the 780 ti Classified. I still decided to wait though. Maybe I will just wait until the 800 series comes out like RainStryke suggested. If the 800 series doesn't come out for a long time, then I may have to ultimately decide on something else. P.S. None of the Ti's have dual bios.

I get a lot of PM's asking me questions about Evga, the forums, Evga products, etc. I just hope I don't get one from someone asking about when the card will be in stock. As a Moderator, I hate telling people I don't know the answer to their question. I can't even tell them that I'll find the answer for them.

Not for the SC 6gb version. Not sure if that step up for the vanilla 6gb is still available or not. I prefer the SC version since it has higher clocks. I prefer pre-overclocked cards. http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-3787-KR

Maybe EVGA had fast offer to send most of their cards to other big online sellers and they was not sure how many demands will be for GTX780 6GB before Maxwell. Production of big quantity of old series before new can cost lot. They keep some number probably for usual RMA demands and that's it. If someone want he will buy over Newegg. That's worse situation when you like some product but you are not sure what will happen in near future maybe manufacturer launch something better. Sometimes on that way you lose sometimes you choose right thing. Best way is if market is live and if lot of people search for used cards than you can change with minimal lose even if something better show up. Anyway I really think, I'm completely sure if someone choose GTX780Ti he will not feel bad even when Maxwell show up. I don't say GTX780Ti will be better card, only that will not be some huge difference for someone to make mistake if choose GTX780Ti.

Yeah, I was using a 560Ti FPB though, I couldn't wait any longer lol. I was originally going to do a 770 4GB, but based on how tweaking buffers for MS Flightsim X works, I actually chose the 780 instead. It can handle setting the buffers to wide open without overloading the card with texture info even on high-res addons for it. Means I don't have to spend hours tweaking buffer sizes plus I get the performance boost everywhere else too. It's been a while since I had a higher end card too (x80 type vs. x60) so I figured it was time to splurge a bit.

Good decision, GTX780 is premium chip NVIDIA GK110. People talk about 30% performance difference. Graphic card is for me most important part of system. I saw even people spend money to change 4770K on 4790K and keep GTX770 for gaming, instead to upgrade card, even older i7 models are enough to pull any single card in games 98-99%.

Unless Step-Up has changed, the first 6GB SC I got was a step-up from the 770 I had. My second 6GB SC came from Newegg. I DID consider buying "X" card direct from EVGA and then immediately using Step-Up for my second 6GB, but I would have felt bad if EVGA had to turn around and sell that unused card as B-stock. Long story short, you SHOULD still be able to get the SC via Step-Up. It's not listed, but there's an extra step in the process that should offer you the upgrade.

Limited inventory so no plans right now to put at EVGA.com unfortunately. May in future but cannot confirm at this moment if/when.

If the Ti had a 6gb card, I would be all over that. I would settle for the 780 non-Ti with 6 gigs if it was in stock at the Evga store. Not sure when the 800 series is coming out. If they come out before I get a new card, I'm going to hope there will be an 800 with 6 gigs. Also wanted to mention I want a card with the ACX cooler.

Just to update this: I'm over this now thanks to the 980's that have come out. Those 780's I wanted never went in stock anyway. Even though it's not 6gb's, I think 4gb's is just fine with the 980. Plus the clock speeds are pretty good too. Let's see if there's a Ti version, and how much of a boost up in speeds there will be. I see none of the 980's are in stock at the Evga store, where I'll be buying one. I like the SC version. This is the one I want: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-2983-KR Maybe step up to a Ti version later, or just wait for the Ti. Not sure yet. P.S. Sajin, be nice now.

Re: Will the GTX 780 with 6gb of memory ever be in stock at the Evga store?

Why not. I would go on Superclocked or Classified model. 3-4GB is enough. You save 300$ and win over K|NGP|N Classified with that model on link I think NVIDIA will not launch GTX980Ti...I didn't pay attention, GTX980 use full potential of GM204, no locked CUDA Cores? One thing is bad, now everything better for 20% performance than GTX980 will cost 200$ + or more if they put more than 4GB memory. Did you saw CASEKING sell for 930e GTX970 SC ACX 2.0 3Way SLI + compatible EVGA SLI Bridge Pro? They decide to force us all on SLI.

seems that the cards are still out of stock at new egg. sucks too since I wanted another 780 6gb to go with the one I have now. Part of me is tempted to step up to the 980 but dang I really wanted another 780 6gb since I have the water blocks already. I was hoping they would drop in price but doesn't seem that way. Amazon still has them but they are about or a bit more than the 980's. sucks the 980 had to come out!!!!

I changed my mind, as I said in post #26. Thanks anyway though. (980 is the card I want now)
