There has been set up a New Challenge at Skynet POGS. This time it's a team Challenge. We have a strong Alliance at POGS. (At POGS, Team and Alliance is the same thing) Credit wise, we are at position 19. Dutch Power Cows are 8. [H]ard OCP is 15. RAC wise, we are at 7th. Dutch Power Cows are 12th [H]ard OCP is.. ahem, none present at the time. With Our present RAC, we might get a decent position. We are 5 active crunchers at the moment, still we do good RAC wise as a team. The Challenge will take Place all October, so whatever recources we feel like adding, will show. Just for the record. I'm not trying to bring focus away from any POTM, I'll support the upcoming POTM no matter. I just like to see Our name on the Challenge list. So, if any of the captains would be so kind signing us up please? I think RHMash is one of those guy's. Thank you in advance

It would be good to have a backup or 2 for RHMash! I sent RHMash  an email. I think we need more more Captains?

All thinking considered... I think you just individually join the race.. sign up for it. Your alliance determines how the points you generate are placed (if your alliance is Crunching@EVGA the points goes to us... if it's say [H] it goes to them.

Yeah... finished the research on this one... I agree. I've sent another PM out to RH to help out. I can't get to either of the challenges right now as a co-captain. Stupid the way it was set up by BOINC... (not by us). Maybe the POGS thing was before we had the EVGA DC Captains name to sign up for projects and RH was convenient.
Oh well... onward and upward!

I have been in contact with Alex at theskynet and had suggested that he create Admins like BOINC projects have to help administer team activity and possibly give them the ability to join the team to project sponsored challenges. He said he would look into it. Currently the only person that can join the team is the team Founder. However, if you message him, me might add the team if there were "just reason". Edit: also in regards to how accounts were setup with POGS... theskynet was a project before POGS was around. theskynet had another project called the Source Finder and used a Java based client that you could run from your browser. Then they created POGS using BOINC and tried to keep the original website and also incorporate the POGS stats in with it while keeping the POGS site separate as well. This caused a lot of confusion and thus you had two teams/alliances as well. Then they decided to try and make things easier by merging all of the alliances (teams) between the two projects into one. However, if their were conflicting team founders, they were given so much time to contact admins to get it resolved. They still intend on porting SourceFinder into a BOINC project and from my communication with them it sounds like they will not have it at the same server as POGS. Therefore it will be once again confusing. They should just merge the sites into one and just make them sub projects. But they don't listen to me. LOL.

I've set up EVGA DC Captains in POGS... sent a request to change founder status to that account. Hopefully he'll get it also sent a PM to him.
My thoughts are the EVGA DC Captains should be founder for all projects that way no one person if they leave is stuck doing the setup for challenges and team entries and any of the 4 Captains and Co-captains (2 of each) can log in under the shared account and set things up.

been hot hot hot here in south tx, but supposed to be 80 this weekend so i'll likely fire everything back up for a few hours worth of test runs. should be good to burn again by oct, hope to see yall there

Lucky you who remember the sign in  No worries Yes your old team is signed up, but what your profile generates, will credit EVGA, since that is the alliance your profile is set up to.

On a bright note I did get the EVGA DC Captains alliance finally set to Crunching @ EVGA. Sent a PM to RHMash requesting he transfer foundership to the DC Captains. Hopefully he'll get it in time. I know he's busy as all get out.
